More Tree Issues?

Since when should it be the guests responsibility to prevent Disney from getting sued due to lack of maint. and safety checks on Disneys part? If you are so passionate about this then copy and paste the pics in an email and contact Disney yourself. Not trying to be a jerk but what you are asking is for someone who should be having fun and "escaping" from reality to be the safety police for a multi-billion dollar corporation for the sake of you not wanting nets and protecting Disney from not getting sued?

Are you a fanboi? Did I just ask that? Sad....
It may not be a guest's responsibility but it should be everyone's responsibility to notify anyone in any park or part of our life when we see something unsafe. Would you not be angry if your son or daughter got hurt somewhere and some one said "Oh yeah I saw that last week but it was not my responsibility to tell anyone." Or how about a drunk driver all over the road...Don't you call the police or is that something that is not your problem? Please do not say they are different they are not different.

Do you think its time for the Swiss Family to exit? Its a good piece of land they could use for something else. What about Jungle Cruise? While I love it, it takes up a BIG area that would house multiple attractions and be cleaner for the environment. I thought the boats used fuel?
The treehouse footprint is very small....too small to be used as an attraction space.

You are correct but there are (supposed to be anyway) maintenance walk-throughs and inspections on a regular basis. I also think you are changing the scope of the reply. It was more about making the point because the poster does not want nets or the company to get sued. My point was if you were to see danger then you report it for the sake of it being dangerous not because you think nets are tacky looking or you are worried a multi-billion dollar corporation is going to get sued. (Especially when people pay the prices they do for a clean SAFE environment. I understand things can happen but if this has been there for weeks or months..then...what is the excuse?

So yes...they are different. Would you say hey can you call and report a drunk driver because I do not want tacky looking orange cones blocking off the metal barrier that the driver took out with his car? No...you call for the safety of other drivers on the road.

??????????? No it's not your responsibility to say anything but God forbid that the limb does break and it falls on someone and hurts them or worse. Yes Disney's maintenance dept. should catch the problem and assess whether it is a danger but just in case you say something. Wouldn't want a little maiming to get you out of your reality escape.

So you do call and what your issue is the person's reason of safe guarding Disney. I on the other hand do not care the person's reason or rational for notifying some one....just get the damned thing fixed if it is an issue.

You don't know if a driver is drunk or not. You just know if they are unsafe. They could be sleepy, they could be a bad driver. You don't know if it's due to intoxication or not. And yes, it is your responsibility to report it.

However, flooding Disney with reports of "unsafe conditions" isn't going to do them any good. "The steps at Cindy's Royal Table are unsafe because this one time I saw a kid nearly fall down them and she could have gone down the whole staircase and been left a paraplegic."

People imagine danger way more often than there is danger.

Once again...you are taking it out of context. My reply was based on the original poster saying to report it for the sake of not having nets or Disney getting sued. Sorry you misunderstood.

Well, would you agree that the motivation of someone reporting a problem would be so people are safe and not because you do not want to see ugly nets or that the company will get sued? Come on...

He posted to report the problem as not having more nets and the company not getting sued being his rational.

I noticed this in Feb and pointed it out to our group...I thought it looked pretty cosmetic in my non-professionally informed opinion. There are a few branches with cracks. I would be concerned with water being able to reach the structural steel though if it is cracked.

I wouldn't worry about the steel. This was Disney Old School, things done right. Think of steel out in the elements, train tracks, coasters, trolley tracks, railings, light poles. Heck, did you see the dwarf track laying haphazardly on the old air strip on the approach to the Magic Kingdom, still was there last week.

Well then I stand corrected. I should have figured that anybody named Funmeister wouldn't want someone to get hurt.

Did I come off as a little overly passionate? What can I say. I'd hate to see great theming and my childhood memories ripped out of there. lol But I might be able to sacrifice all of that for a Forbidden-Journey quality Aladin ride. xD

I'm with you 100%. I would hate to see those attractions go, but an E-Ticket Aladdin simulator is exactly what the MK kingdom needs. In 2014 it'll have 3 (sorry not going to count Goofini) coasters one of the best flume rides in the world and many classics that still draw. The MK REALLY REALLY REALLY needs an E-Ticket simulator in Adventureland.

Gotta say, Goofini supplies some fun thrills. You are so right. But not only a simulator. Disney has engineered two of the greatest theme park simulators (both at Epcot) of all time. It's time to merge the simulator and dark ride experience, and do it in a way the ground-breaking competitor, never has before. Though adventurelands rides are timeless. I just feel like this needs to be done SOMEWHERE.

It's called Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye and Dinosaur.
