Thanks! Don't like the ride length though. 3 hour wait for 3 minutes... what's new?

That's actually quite good for a roller coaster. Granted, they include the lift hill, so subtract a good 45-50 seconds.

But find me a roller coaster that you are on for 3 minutes (let alone a FAST steel coaster).

Hopefully this will give Imagineering a good amount of time to tell the story.

That's true. I guess I was thinking if this as more of a "Splash Mountain."

Needless to say, I love FastPass. ;)

Yeah, Splash Mountain is an anomally, you get almost 10 minutes of AA fun on a moving exciting ride with music, that's hard to compete with. :D

Maybe not! Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has an average capacity of 1400 riders per hour. Everest is projected 2000 per hour for double the ride time!

Based upon the maps and models, can anyone tell if the queue area seems to proceed towards the mountain, or if the loading area is near the entrance? I wonder how good/clever the story will be, anyway. From what we know of the theme, perhaps (only perhaps) it will require a pre-show, which I wouldn't mind, as long as it's inventive. I've found that without a pre-show many guests often don't get the story, like on Splash Mountain and BTMRR. Anyone have a guess about this?

Where did you get this info from?

It looks pretty good... A fairly long time, and a high ride capacity per hour... Those are big trains...

Hopefully this ride lives up to the hype... So far, it seems like it is going to...

Sounds pretty good, especially if it's fast-paced so a lot goes on in a short time, like Indy! Indy is pretty short but has almost as much cool stuff as, say, the Haunted Mansion.

Still, it would be pretty cool to have a roller coaster that begins as a slow dark ride for a few minutes, but, then again, it might be annoying to remain strapped in for that long, and also might prevent thrill-seeking visitors from returning.

Close...RnRC maxes out at around 1800/hour with 32 guests per train.

Everest's longer trains should account for the greater capacity.

This just seems wrong to me. 34 people in rows of 2 would mean 17 rows. 17 rows on a coaster is unheard of. It's a prime number. It can't be divided evenly, which means that you'd have, for example, 5 cars each with 3 rows, but there would be 2 rows left over meaning you'd have 1 extra car with only 2 rows. I could see 36 people (9 cars of 4 rows or 12 cars of 3 rows) or 32 people (8 cars of 4), but not 34 people. It just doesn't work.

That was my first reaction as well, but I looked again at the concept art, and there is some sort of aparatus on the rear of the train. Whether this is some form of functioning lift system (which would be pretty cool-especially if it is a new system that is faster like the elevator system used at Cedar Point) or just decoration, that could account for the missing pair in a set. Just a thought.

does anyone know whether or not they will start off with a FASTPASS Terminal when the ride opens, or will they wait to see how many guests they have and then decide whether or not they want to put one in????

Definitely will have FastPass. No way would it open without it.

Although it would be cool if no fastpasses were given for the first official day open.

My reaction was the same as Ogryn, it's not uncommon for the lead car to only have two seats.

In any case, argument will be settled in a year or so!! :sohappy:

Actually, if I remember correctly (this was quite some time ago and may be changed) the numbers I had were 30 passengers per train. Five cars per train, six passengers per car.

Spence, are you a math major? Lol j/p I have problems remembering my prime number although I am a senior in High School. Maybe I should stay after to get some help on that :brick: Well to back on topic, How fast is Rockin Roller Coaster? It doesnt seem all that fast, BTW up here in New England theres a roller coaster "Superman Ride of Steel" at Six Flags New England where the ride is almost a mile long, and only lasts like 77 seconds I think it said, wow I cant beleive I want in line for an hour to ride a 77 second ride. :brick:

~SuM Wishes you all a happy holiday! :xmas:

Very true, that is why I hope they announce another E ticket soon. The park is going to need it. EE is going to raise the bar big time for AK.
