I sence a need for Fantasyland-quality dark rides! :D
How about a boat ride themed to Jungle Book or Lion King? Not only would these be "filler" attractions, but they are Fantasyland dark rides that actually fit the AK theme. And in certain scenes they could have real animals, so it would be like a safari/dark ride combination. Or they could just go for characters throughout the whole ride. And of course there is also the merchandiding potential and all that jazz that the research guys like to hear.

Something like that, maybe?

Maybe.....I still highly question the ability to have a ride though/near animal enclosures, and have a quality show consistantly.

One thing I question is the desire to have Fantasyland dark rides at DAK....they are already in Fantasyland.....why do you want FL duplicated at DAK?

Well, one or two wouldn't be too much. I think the Animal Kingdom really needs atleast one (meaning, a slow moving one, not Dinosaur). MK has a few, Epcot has one, MGM has a large one so I think it's just something Ak kinda lacks right now. That, and a sea based attraction!

They could go with just 100% characters if the animal enclosures isn't a good idea.

But they ALREADY have a FL at AK. It's called CAMP MINNIE-MICKEY! If Disney has decided that BK is not going to be built, then they have to ACCEPT the fact that Camp Minnie-Mickey is going to need a PERMANENT attraction. That land is just DYING for an actual family-friendly dark ride. These attractions (Jungle Book/Lion King/Tarzan) would be a simple and profitable void-filler.

I would relate Camp Minnie-Mickey more to MTTF, not FL.....it represents the same type of entertainment.

I think Camp Minnie-Mickey fills a small void in the park....I would rather not see it enlarged to include other attractions, unless it was something like Flik's Fair at DCA.......The area, if overbuilt, has the ability to become a major foottraffic nightmare.....instead, think of it like a "Liberty Square" area......it will get you too and from the good parts of the park.

With all this talk of Camp Minnie Mickey being filler it's amazing that nobody has made mention of the Lion King show which is far and away the best show on Disney property. I recognize that a few kids attractions would enhance the area, but don't belittle the substance that is already there.

A new path or widening of the existing path would have to be added for traffic if anything is added to that area of the park. You can barely get to/from the Camp right before/after shows let out.

Where did you get this info from?

It looks pretty good... A fairly long time, and a high ride capacity per hour... Those are big trains...

Hopefully this ride lives up to the hype... So far, it seems like it is going to...

I think it will be pretty good as long as the Yetti doesnt burp hot dog smell in your face as you wiz by and it doesnt TP the Tree of Life on opening day.... :p

You're my new best friend! Camp is a good area!

We've got a few projects in the works including changing the traffic flow in the camp (finally!) and adding streetmosphere.... err- "pathmosphere?" :D

Spence, are you a math major? Lol j/p I have problems remembering my prime number although I am a senior in High School.

Not quite. I'm a Computer Science major, and I just took a final exam for my CS Theory class which dealt a lot with primes and other "fun" stuff. Actually my dream job is to design ride safety systems, but that's for a different thread.

As far as the seating arrangements go, I think I'd go with what Lee's heard.
