You knew that they would have to do BK. Esp. since there is a dragon on the AK 100 years of magic pin.

Look at the big picture and the advance to BK makes sense. AK IS suffering with low & dropping attendance and the misconception that it is a zoo (remember Nahtazu?). First they have to finish Dino-Rama, which will add two new mid-level rides, THEN the hop to the other side of the Park (Camp Minnie/Mickey) where the next project (BK) will take place. Dino-Rama is important, IMO, because it adds more attractions that coupled with Dinosaur, ITTBAB & perhaps Kali which will be available for an extended (evening) opened Park once BK comes into the fold. Operating a Park that closes at 5:00 as often as it does puts that Park at a disadvatage as people are scrambling to get elsewhere for the evening and generally see it as a "half-day" Park. BK will certainly put an end to that...
When I was at WDW earlier this month I talked with two animal staff CM's at AKL about BK. One acted like he didn't think he should be talking about these "rumors" but seemed sure, based on the way budgetary funding was being doled out, that a new 'non-animal' land (BK) seemed much more certain than an additional live animal area (Austrailia) for the near future. The other CM flat out said, "You'll know for sure real soon", which I took to mean the October announcements, and he meant BK. But of course, they too (the announcements), are on hold now...I realize CM's statements are often viewed with skepticisim by many, but these were specialty CM's and I personally believed their opinions...
