she got convicted of murder! I was THRILLED! Finally, people will have to realize that they need to control their dogs! The doctors and I were enthralled! You should have heard what that lady's defense attorney did...crawled around the courtroom on all fours (despite the judge telling her not to) and then she said the entire case came about due to the gay community (the woman who was mauled to death had a "domestic companion"). The jury was like "uh..." and then they convicted her! It was great!

I didn´t see the details of it, just heard and knew about the trial when CNN announced the sentence, so I came online to see what it was about.

I agree, finally people will have to realize that they need to control their dogs and that they are responsible for their acts too! I hate when people insist on saying that "it is harmless" when you are scared about their dogs and ask them not to have them next to you!

I feel sorry for the couple though.... they could even get life sentence! But..... there is no excuse for their attitude towards the situation.

I don´t agree with sueing the couple again in a civil way or whatever it is called. I think they have had enough punishment and people will learn from that.

These were despicable people....BUT....the conviction for 2nd degree murder went over the top. Even the prosecutor originally asked for manslaughter but the Grand Jury returned a 2nd degree murder indictment...
...What these people did is no different than someone drinking themselves blind, getting into a car, and putting the lives of innocent people at risk if the car should strike someone. This was a manslaughter case from the gitgo but the emotions of the horrific way the woman was killed combined with very unlikable people who showed no remorse, caused people to seek revenge beyond which the law should have allowed.

No more than Bubba's "I feel your pain," bullcrap. The difference is Bush means what he says.

My Two Questions are
1)Why would you even WANT a Dog that Vicious????

2)What the hell were they doing with that kind of dog in an APARTMENT????

My thoughts exactly!

I don´t know what people who train dogs to be "killers" are thinking when they do it! I would like to see them chased by their own dog!

I don't know all the facts but these two people were involved in training dogs for unseemly people. She was a lawyer who defended some of these people in criminal cases...
let's face it... she's a friggin low-life scumbag ... unfortunately, there are plenty others replicating the same thing as we speak.

...I keep thinking that there was more to the relationship between the victim and the dog owner.
