Yeah, the logo definitely resembles the SGE logo. I can't wait to hear what the news on the 1st will be, hopefully it will be positive. Thanks for sharing the photo.

thanks for the info! :) Maybe i'm the odd (wo)man out... ;) but i'm actually looking forward to the Monster's Inc theme. I loved the movie and was anxious for Disney to put something MI themed into the parks... It may not match entirely into Tomorrowland... however, to be honest... i don't care. LOL... i'm just glad their filling up the rather empty TL :) It seems like a nice addition to me... thanks jedimaster!!!

I think it would be nice to have something other than an empty place in Tomorrowland. Also it's something new besides SGE (which was hyped beyond belief and seems a little lackluster) and Buzz (which is still considered a "new addition?" ) I just hope it won't seem too out of place.

If it turns out to be a great attraction, it will be out of place:D:lol:. I wonder how much promotion will be done for the Laugh Floor? I can only hope that it is not shoved down our throats like Stitch was.

I for one don't think it will be as out of place as everyone says it is. Yes, I much prefer the pre-94 rehab tomorrowland, but we haven't had that since, well, 94. However it does fit into the current tomorrowland. This is how I see the theme of tomorrowland. The first thing that we have to realize is that even though TL is called Tomorrow Land the theme has technically been sci fi land since the refurb. I'm fine with that as long as it works.

Tomorrowland is themed to be a city in the sci fi future. We have the TTA which is the public transportation of this city. Space Mountain is representative of a public space port. Buzz Lightyear can be seen as a military base. SGE is the public capture and transport of rogue aliens which are apparently a common thing in this tomorrowland because we see the alien hairdresser as well as Stitch. So, I don't see the Monsters Inc being out of place. Why? Here's why.

One, remember we're not dealing with an actual them of reality tomorrow, but sci fi land tomorrow. Monsters existing on another dimension fits perfectly with science fiction. These monsters have apparently had access to the human side of things for years we just didn't know about it. Now that they're realized that human laughter works better for energy than scaring they've begun creating power plants all across the galaxy and across dimensions which they've shared with humans. To power these plants they have to harness laughter. What better way to do that than to open a comedy club in human lands. So we are the guests of the future who reside in this tomorrowland sci fi city who enjoy going to comedy clubs which just happen to be used to create energy.

It's really no more of a stretch than anything else in that land is. Is it a perfect match to Walts original tomorrowland? No, but it fits just fine with the 94 refurb of tomorrow/sci-fi land.

That is actually a very well thought out analysis! :sohappy:

I really hate to be pessimistic about this because I have loved mostly everything that Disney has done, but im not feeling so good about this one... im feeling similar to how I felt when stitch was being developed and that is really not good. I won't judge until i see for sure, but the overall feeling is kinda scary. I hope someone proves me wrong:veryconfu

That is a pretty solid arguement. If they storyline is explained as well in the attraction then you have explained it, then I think it could fit, but only if the storyline was explained. Buzz Lightyear doesn't need a storyline explaination because of its simple ideal and its easy adaptation to the land around it. When looking at this arguement in the way you have, I might just have to agree with you!

Maybe the laugh floor will have sneek peeks early january when i go..:)

I've heard that previews will start as early as late December for CMs and early January for passholders. Soft Previews for regular guests normally start one-two weeks before the attraction opens publicly. I will be there for the Passholder preview, so I will try to get an early report out as soon as possible.

You're not alone. I feel the same way. Even if it weren't in tomorrowland, I wouldn't be very excited about it. I'm not very fond of the name "Laugh Floor Comedy Club." It just sounds.... I don't know... dorky.

Anybody ever see the movie? There is a "Tomorrowland" attractions poster IN THE MOVIE. Why would anybody be surprised that this is going to Tomorrowland? They basically told you there would be an attraction there when the movie came out. What would be surprising is if there were a MI attraction somewhere else. Disney/Pixar has been letting us know for 5+ years that this is where the attraction will be.

I've never noticed them - where are they in the movie?

rather than be afraid of monsters, inc. resembling SGE too much, i'm afraid that it's going to resemble something like turtle talk. have i just gotten my facts wrong? it sounds to me like the same kind of attraction. i hope i'm wrong.

To me I think it will be some kind of show but it sounds funny and thats pretty good, I like to laugh especially at easy jokes like Disney ones. I like the idea of Monsters Inc being around and don't mind too much where it is as long as it is not just plonked down (ie in front of the castle  )

And I think it will fit in nicely if its themed the same as the surronding area, its a shame SGE didn't do so well but do we know what new visitors think of Stitch?
