While at the Halloween party my family decided to go see laugh floor and i noticed new changes right when we entered.

Gone are many of the cheap banners replced by nicer looking signs, while there are still some of the updated banners, no longer saying comedy club hanging around the queue, many of the other signs have also been replaced by more permanent looking signs.

Upon closer inspection, i noticed something...

Nice touch, sort of helps the attractions story better and trys to fit it in better

They also added this to some areas

Finally, a new sign in the preshow

The theater also had a few new signs replacing older banners.

The show was similar except buddy had a box of comedy rather than his mind reading act.

The signs are different but they always had signs asking for your jokes.

Yes, but before it was on a banner without the legal text. That banner was moved onto an empty area of the same wall currently, but i meant the nice new sign detailing everything the decals on the windows outside told you most people do not read.

I've seen the show three times and have only seen one repeated skit. Has anybody done a back to back, and compare the two shows? I know the beauty of this type of show is that it will be different everytime you see it, with the audience interaction and all, but how many skits are available for the performers? BTW, the same is true with Crush over at the Seas.

This is a step forward. Disney could have left the DIY banners up, but they've installed something much more fitting of its place.

Tomorrowland Expo Center I assume replaces the Tomorrowland Interplanetary Convention Center that Stitch has taken over? :animwink:

Now if only they could change it into The Timekeeper...

I wish that would happen...

anyway, nice signs! So much better than the cheaper looking ones. I guess the building has gone from Tomorrowland Metropolis Science Centre to Tomorrowland Expo Centre. The TTA of course will still say the earlier of the two but it's been outdated ever since Stitch moved in.

Looks like they also smartened up and didn't put any wording on the "back" of the signs, just photos. Then the reversing in the mirrors above and around the "door" into Monstropolis isn't as obvious, making it look like the hallway continues beyond the door. One of those minor details that I'm sure 99.9% of the Guests don't notice, but it helps the overall look of things.

Before, it was very obvious you were looking at reflections with backwards wording.

yknow,
a lot of people beat up on this ride but I found it really funny. I was there on the 14th and had to dance in front of the whole crowd. It was pretty funny.

I think anyone who thinks this ride is aweful should go ride Stitch or worse yet, Sounds Dangerous...the absolute worse ride ever invented. Even worse than 'South Park's: Line Ride'

Very nice. Thanks for the info. :)

As for Crush, I don't think there is that much variety. Crush can improvise off the questions and situations presented to him, but as far as I know, he'll do mostly the same skits. I've only seen it a couple of times and haven't seen that much difference. I'm not sure if they do more though.

Monster's Inc. was purposely designed to be different. I've seen a handful of different skits that monster's perform. Rumors are that Disney is still desining new skits.

I've read in the Mickey Monitor once that the monsters in the show may show up as a different color in one show, and there is the possibility of a fourth monster appearing. :)

I'm looking at all these pictures and I really like the updated signs and appearance of the queue and pre-show area.

And looking at this I can see how easily a friendly Alien theme would have worked into the theme of the land even better. An Intergalactic Alien Comedy Club. The "Monsters" are sort of Alien looking anyway. Think a computer animated Plectu's Galactic Review with a Comedy Club theme thrown in.

Instead this cheap character cop-out route was taken. The absolute destruction of the TL theme that happens with this show will always make this show hard for me to enjoy.

I absolutely agree with you, Thiger. I am floored (no pun intended) that someone thinks the old Timekeeper is better than Laugh Floor. This was one of my kids (7 & 3) favorite experiences on our last trip this past September. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think some fans romanticize about some of the old rides that were, IMHO, outdated and/or not that spectacular anyway. I've got one in my own family. My brother still thinks "If I had Wings" is better than Buzz Lightyear SRS!

I agree. This is a pretty cool attraction. I liked Timekeeper alot and I think this is a good replacement for what became an unpopular attraction.

It's not an E-ticket, nor does it try to be. It just eats alot of people out of Tomorrowland and provides (me at least) an opportunity to sit in the A/C, have a good laugh, and get recharged.

It does seem that they have kept working on it, taking the complaints into account until it is turning into a nice little attraction. No, its not an E-ticket, but more and more I'm hearing people claim how much they really like this vs the comments we originally got.

Very nice! I told everybody this show wouldn't mean the end of the world. Remember the guess that this show wouldn't last a month?

The truth is, I don't hate Laugh Floor. It was okay. My problem with it is still that it doesn't belong in Tomorrowland. Fantasyland would have been a better locale for it, or perhaps the Studios. I also thought Timekeeper was an truly enjoyable Circlevision film with some of the best dialogue ever written/improvised (with Robin Williams you never know just how much is scripted).
Now, as to Stitch and Sounds Dangerous, I completely disagree with you, but then I'm not surprised (they're commonly bashed on these boards). I happen to enjoy both of those attractions, especially Stitch. I won't go into my reasons here, as I've done it in other threads, but let me simply say that I make a point of trying to go to both more than once a trip. To each his own, but personally I would have picked Journey Into Narnia, Under New Management, or LMA as worst attractions ever.

thats' true, it doesn't really belong in tomorrowland. Actually MGM is a good call for the placement of this attraction.

I would love to see more Tomorrowland rides actually about the world of tomorrow. If they could update Horizons that would be perfect to put in this zone.

Alas, Pixar sells many toys so I'm sure we'll be seeing a Wall-E ride in the next few years...lol

Well, the signs look more permanent, how can I say, alittle more professional?
exactly my thought. They look a little more "Disney" and definitely not nearly as done on the cheap as the old signs did.

The old signs always did look temporary...like...oops...we forgot to make some signs for this...better whip out the paint and make some up really quickly. These signs look so much better.

As for the attraction, I did enjoy it. I thought it was fun the first time I saw it. However, it is an attraction that needs to only be seen once per trip. (I saw it again and probably b/c it was so close to the previous time, it wasn't nearly as funny. I still found it enjoyable though.)
