MILF is not moving over. We have insiders making that clear. And the “show” is incredibly vague and very likely not to happen. Even if it does, Monsters isn’t very well suited to a stage show and there is absolutely no chance - none - it will be as clever or enjoyable as MV3D.
Oh hard disagree in it not being a good fit for a stage show. That’s what I do for a living (I’m an actor/director), and there’s lots of room for various types of shows with this IP.

Being a capitalist hasn’t always meant trying to be Gordon Gekko cranked up to 11. The contemporary notion of corporate purpose and maximizing shareholder value would be completely foreign to most businessmen who died in the 60s.
Walt Disney did quite a bit in the pursuit of making the most money he could. Yes modern corporate culture would be unfamiliar to him and them, but they had their own corporate massaging culture.

As an IP, Muppets are a lot more popular then Song of the South. And anyone who is a big “fan” of SotS (not Splash, which hasn’t been erased, but SotS) probably has some… interesting opinions.
I'm a big fan of Splash Mountain. As with most Disney rides, the theme IS the attraction. This includes the music, characters, storyline, worldbuilding, etc. All of this was indeed erased.

I actually think we agree that the capitalism of today is different and for the worse. I just think we disagree on the why.

I think you missed his point. Its already engagimg. Why change it? What differemcw does it make if ToT uses a CBS IP vs HM which has its own story without an IP if both engage the guest?
I get it, and it is already engaging, but Disney IS STUPID AND WILL CHANGE IT.

And all I am saying it, even if the do an overlay, keeping the same ride, (at the very least), will still be fun.

There are way more relevant bands, honestly.....without predators
I worked in the music industry in a variety of roles for almost 20 years, and I’d struggle to name any really popular band from 2000-2020 who wouldn’t have someone in their lineup or employed by them that be considered a predator in some way, at some point.

I have kicked off/called a taxi for many a 14-16 year old girl in the wee small hours of the morning as the buses were leaving 😔

I learned quickly never to go on a bus on my own (even my own bus) until I knew the lay of the land. I’ve had guys in (very famous) bands I’ve worked for protect/watch out for me regarding stuff from their own band members or crew or openers.

Off topic, but yeah. The music industry hasn’t changed much from the days of 15-year old Bebe Buell and Lori Maddox “hanging out” with Steven Tyler.

1000000% as tragic as this is true. The industry loves protecting these predators, too. It's so sad.

Disney will never get rid of the Frozen Sing-Along. It's Frozen, it never leaves.
so here we get rock/Muppet versions of Disney Songs? (horrible idea, yes, but I wouldn't put it past them)...
I wouldn't put it past them.

Honestly, though, I think an album of Muppets singing Disney songs would be neat.
Muppets isn’t pulling it’s capacity to fill it’s theatre.
Somehow, I doubt that the Mickey Shorts Theater is that much more popular.
Sure it does, and like I said before, if THIS was phase 2, I wouldn't care. People are way more upset because this is happening when you have a much more run down shell of a place sitting across the park that we are going to hope gets fixed 8 years from now.
Exactly!
Rizzo? In 2024? Never gonna happen.
I still think they should have Bruce Lanoil become Rizzo's new performer.
There never was an MGM park.
Actually, there was. In Las Vegas.
Also, there's possible space that if they wanted, they could try to do some sort of Muppets dark ride around RNR. I'd love for them to consider it
I'd love a Muppets dark ride, but I doubt Disney will even consider it.
Does anyone else keep getting popups here on this thread? Like this?
