A second, second shoe or a second first shoe? There is, amazingly, still a shoe to drop for DHS for 2025.

Umm... there are counter-examples.Disney is obsessed with making everything a land because they're still trying to replicate the success of Wizarding World with every IP they can think of.
Learn to use the like and love reaction buttons like us lowly plebes who don't seek to make our reaction take up the totality of everyone else's screen.Well done! I would give you a TROPHY but they sent me to wdwmagic forums jail for doing it.
The video you're linking to says...I saw it on That Park Place
The video you're linking to says...
"BREAKING: MuppetVision 3D and Rock'N'Roller Coaster set for Destruction For Monsters Inc Land"
Which is completely untrue.
Another example of disgusting click-bait.
This will have the same number of attractions as the World of Pandora and I'm pretty sure they count that as a land in AK.Umm... there are counter-examples.
The Cars ride looks like an IP land, but, it's just the outdoor track of a single ride (and it's junior flat ride sitting in the middle of it). It's not like BTMRR is being converted into a Cars-franchise ride in order to create a mini-land.
In DAK, "Tropical America" isn't a single-IP land. Indy and Encanto are not in the same universe.
TRON didn't get a 'TRON Land' surrounded by TRON-themed attractions (tho, it would have been cool if Speedway was rethemed to TRON Racers).
There is no Guardians-land surrounding Cosmic Rewind.
And this Monsters Coaster is only getting a show and a few shops. It's not like there are the usual two or three rides. Is a courtyard a 'land'?
Have you been in the same state of shock over the past 10/15 years?? LolFigment's in line for a big refurb. The merch numbers are decent. I would be utterly shocked if anything else happened.
Yeah in line. If it ever gets to be his turn, and with his buddy the dreamfinder remains to be seen.Figment's in line for a big refurb. The merch numbers are decent. I would be utterly shocked if anything else happened.
Asbestos was banned long before MGM was built.Yikes, I hope not. I’m not going in anymore if there’s asbestos.
That’s the problem. It doesn’t sell lightning lanes because you don’t need one. There's never a wait longer than one show ahead of you, mind you, but the theater is still packed.
Yep. Unfortunately, everything needs to be able to have long lines they can monetize now. It's an anomaly that they didn't try to monetize the new Country Bear show. That’s the problem. It doesn’t sell lightning lanes because you don’t need one.
That’s very fair, but you’re kind of missing the rest of his point. Disney isn’t just building lands. There are tons of examples of them just building an attraction. This will have the same number of attractions as the World of Pandora and I'm pretty sure they count that as a land in AK.![]()
Nah, they have to pay equity actors to run laugh floor. It’ll be something cheaper to operate.Maybe this has been discussed but do we know what’s going in the theater? It would be shame if it’s Laugh Floor because that attraction is just god awful. Cringe as the kids would say
While it’s been removed from building materials, the US doesn’t have a comprehensive ban on the use of asbestos. Regulations to ban the continuing uses of asbestos were only finalized earlier this year and may well not be enforced, if they’re not just rescinded.Asbestos was banned long before MGM was built.
I feel like you didn’t read my post, I just said I do not think Disney intends to relocate MV3DHow exactly do you have Muppet*Vision without the Muppet*Vision Theater?
With this sort of take - why are you speculating at all?A new CEO takes control in 2026. Economic policy changes beginning in 2025 are going to cause the cost of construction to skyrocket and may crater the economy as a whole. Nothing that is slated to begin construction after 2025 should be considered close to certain - no Villains Land, no phase 2s, no Muppets Coaster, nothing.
Remember what the pandemic did to the Epcot redo in particular and the last wave of significant investments into the parks in general? The current situation is even worse, because the disruption is forseeable.
No, no, no, no. ToT as it stands today is a near perfect ride. While it may not be “scary” to most adults there is a spooky vibe that builds from the queue, through the pre-show into the wait to load and throughout the ride. The Muppets wouldn’t enhance any of that. The story, the pace, the thrill factor….it all works really well together as is. RNRC is thought of as a good coaster but the Aerosmith story has little to do with the success of the ride experience. The rock aspect can easily still work with the Muppets included. To me, Muppets ToT is seamless. The characters can fit right in. Just redo the film to have muppets instead of people. It would also be less scary (not that it is), and more family friendly. Gonzo and Rizzo do the pre-show, Miss Piggy and others are the guests who are zapped.
