At least the Muppets will still be in the parks but this just feels like they are slapping some Kermit paint on RNRC to appease fans. What does the below even mean? Is it a Muppets themed coaster or the Muppets playing host to other bands and popstars?

"The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!"
Muppets + Olivia Rodrigo = everyone wanting to pay for LLPP!

Yup. Muppets is a bad fit for a coaster. It’s a property that relies on dialogue, characterization, and wit - all things, of course, modern Disney parks don’t do well.

I’ve grumbled about the loss of humor in the parks, but even more egregious and complete is the near complete removal of any kind of self-deprecating satire at the expense of the parks themselves. Muppets, Dinoland - there was a period when Disney was very good at making fun of itself. That’s a distant memory.

you could in theory write up a great pre-show but that’s just it, a pre show.

If only there was precedent for a Disney attraction featuring popular / rock music with characters trying to have a conversation over the music...

Tomorrowland won't be that dull for long. Trust the plan.

I'd bet on Incredibles being in Tomorrowland within the next 7 years.

Do we consider getting rid of BatB a dropped shoe?

No, but it should happen.

I’m really, REALLY tired of coasters.

That goes for Universal as well.

Can I interest you in an attraction where we put you in front of a screen and shake you around?

That’s really really interesting about preserving the show. They also say ‘other parts of the experience’ which leads me to believe that it will be moving somewhere possibly as that wording insinuates that it will be more than just the film playing on loop in a gift shop.

Maybe we’ll be getting Muppet Studios after all
Muppets Take Morocco? IP for EPCOT?

Disney is now just grabbing poorly-conceived armchair Imagineering ideas from fans online in a pathetic attempt to pander.

Also important to note that, even with this plan, there’s no reason MV3D couldn’t stay - it’s being replaced by an amorphous “show” that is as likely as not to disappear in the years between now and opening. Not every ride needs a “land” - just build the door coaster in that spot and leave Muppets.

Phase 2 of what?

All the new stuff announced over the last few months that is coming over the next 5 years is essentially the first half of the billions of dollars being invested into the parks over the next decade.

There is plenty of speculation of what comes after Tropical Americas, Cars/Villains and Monsters in all the parks.

Lately Disney is acting like Universal in the 2000s and early 2010s. They just seem to think that if they axe these classics as quickly as possible nobody will notice
Yeah, but the stuff Uni replaced wasn’t very good and didn’t have decades of nostalgia and cultural meaning attached.
