Seriously though: im starting to get weary of this whole cycle. It basically has been a game of telephone with no real picture or hard trusted insider proof. While i am cautiously optimistic about animation courtyard, i do take into account the balloon talk. But until i hear a consensus from a large amount of insiders that it is muppets, one from a very trusted person like martin or Steve, or see actual photo proof the balloons, i choose to remain in “it is still undecided”.

I think at this point, we should all wait for actual evidence other than what people say.
Josh started it by announcing projects that were "in development" and "dirt is moving"

Besides that, I think folks seem to forget, these discussion boards are all for fun, nothing we say here makes any difference.

But folks do have the option to stop posting and wait 6 to 8 years to see what we got and then post about it.

You could also just build more sets (since it’s indoors and they don’t have to worry about clashing w/ the pier aesthetic.

They could even build the big robot from the first movie and make you go over it during the second inversion.

Dhs is really becoming “DISNEY-PIXAR-LUCAS STUDIOS”
In all honesty, this is probably what it should be (minus the DISNEY bit?). The "behind the scenes" concept has been dropped, not just by Disney, it's seen as outdated and an anachronism that is based around classic Hollywood movies that are fast going out of living memory. To keep the same theme, it would have to be about behind the scenes of CGI! So what theme could possibly be fitting of a studios and movie park? How about...yes, studios and movies! I believe this is the natural home of all studios that Disney own and MK is the natural home of all the native Disney cartoons/movies. (Mind you, this could become problematic if Disney ever let some of those studios go). However, as always, Disney is still mixing up the park identities and themes, we have Pixar movies going into MK, Marvel in EPCOT, baseline Disney (Mickey) going into DHS. I still think they don't have a clue what to do with the parks, although the reality is probably that they don't care any more as to theme as long as all parks become about Disney cartoon and movie IP, i.e. copying Universal and Six Flags.

I would love to see Alien in DHS. Although, would they do such a concept in this era of targetting kids, and would they do it to death like Star Wars?

Even if Monsters does go to AC, isn't that really just (at best) buying time for Muppets and nothing more? I mean, doesn't Muppets eventually need to close for DHS to continue to grow? I mean, you can replace AC with a new land and I believe there is a pad in GE for a new attraction, but after that, if you're not touching Muppets, where do you build?!? The most logical place would be the Olaf lot and adjacent cast parking, but the easiest access to that would be redeveloping the Muppets/Grand Ave area... right?

It does, and that will be sad. But expensing it in a park that needs more stuff before you need to makes me mad, not sad. If that is where Monsters needs to go, then don't do Monsters yet.

There’s a considerable amount of room for expansion at MGM -at the rate Disney builds, enough to comfortably last for decades. That isn’t even considering the immense waste of space that is Toy Story Land or the embarrassingly outdated attractions like B&B. Fantasmic, Indy, and the entire underutilized Sounds Dangerous/ Frozen Sing-a-long structure should be on the chopping block long before Muppets.

MGM essentially has five attractions/areas that shouldn’t be touched for the time being - SWL, MMRR, TZTT, Hollywood Blvd, and Muppets. Star Tours could arguably be added as well. That’s it.

That’s why I am such a proponent of a new muppets attraction. The muppets as a franchise are so adaptable to anything, so they could be dropped in any new situation and thrive with a good enough team. Yes, muppetvision 3.D. Will close eventually. it’s a shame, even if it will have had a good long life. But it shouldn’t be the end of muppets at wdw.

Woah woah woah woah woah. Slow down there partner. I wouldn’t go that far. Fantasmic is the goat, even at wdw. It should NEVER close, unless something better can replace it, which I doubt it.
Fantasmic is a very weak imitation of the spectacular DL original. The show was lackluster when it opened and its long past its sell-by date. It’s also a big plot of land that goes unused for most of the day.
