I feel like you didn’t read my post, I just said I do not think Disney intends to relocate MV3DHow exactly do you have Muppet*Vision without the Muppet*Vision Theater?

With this sort of take - why are you speculating at all?A new CEO takes control in 2026. Economic policy changes beginning in 2025 are going to cause the cost of construction to skyrocket and may crater the economy as a whole. Nothing that is slated to begin construction after 2025 should be considered close to certain - no Villains Land, no phase 2s, no Muppets Coaster, nothing.
Remember what the pandemic did to the Epcot redo in particular and the last wave of significant investments into the parks in general? The current situation is even worse, because the disruption is forseeable.
No, no, no, no. ToT as it stands today is a near perfect ride. While it may not be “scary” to most adults there is a spooky vibe that builds from the queue, through the pre-show into the wait to load and throughout the ride. The Muppets wouldn’t enhance any of that. The story, the pace, the thrill factor….it all works really well together as is. RNRC is thought of as a good coaster but the Aerosmith story has little to do with the success of the ride experience. The rock aspect can easily still work with the Muppets included. To me, Muppets ToT is seamless. The characters can fit right in. Just redo the film to have muppets instead of people. It would also be less scary (not that it is), and more family friendly. Gonzo and Rizzo do the pre-show, Miss Piggy and others are the guests who are zapped.
It won’t be new anymore in 2030 when Zootopia breaks groundSo now when they announce Zootopia in the Animation Courtyard, Zootopia will have a relatively new Little Mermaid Show at it's entrance...
replacing a poorly performing attraction with something more popular is a capacity addition
As a practical matter, yes it is.No, it is not. This is just a rationalization that keeps getting repeated.
The announcement called it “a whole new theater show”.Maybe this has been discussed but do we know what’s going in the theater? It would be shame if it’s Laugh Floor because that attraction is just god awful. Cringe as the kids would say

I just assumed they’d add a few Muppets to the upside down car out front and a few large billboards on the outside of the show building….plus Muppets merch in the exit gift shop. You are probably right the queue will change too and the large screen at the exit playing Aerosmith on loop.I don’t think I really agree with this. Rock ‘N’ Roller is a coaster through a big black box with some blacklight cutouts. The major work here will be in the queue, but even that can remain largely similar to how it currently is. This is a very fast roller coaster, I don’t have my hopes up for an elaborate dark ride, and that really wouldn’t make fiscal sense. Some screens, new music, some lasers or other SFX, and maybe a physical Electric Mayhem van or some quick static or limited motion gags would be plenty for the ride itself. I think that if huge budget cuts and economic downturn hit, and I bet they will this overlay will be one of the less likely to be cut things, not one of the more.
As a practical matter, yes it is.
If you disagree, show your work. Show us your math.
I assume he meant the latter. The physical number of seats available don’t increase (especially since they are brand new seats) but the number of butts in the seats will. Theoretically if the show was half as long it would also double the available hourly available capacity but we have no indication if it will be longer, shorter or the same length.A theater that has 500 seats and adds 0 seats is still a 500 seat theater
If you're arguing about capacity utilization, that's different, but then you run risk of the opposite problem; a show that can't handle an increase in demand and removes slack capacity from the park (something DHS is in need of).

I agree with pretty much all of the above….especially all the 2s.Okay, so I am actually pretty happy with this outcome (to a degree, more on that in a minute):
1. It's a net increase in attractions with the door coaster being a straight up addition (built on current parking) and a comparable show replacing MV3D in that building
2. Muppets are retained in the parks. Maybe not the ideal situation - I agree with the height restriction/intensity issue - but actually a decent theme for them
2a. The location does dovetail very well into replacing the future Villains show (once Villains land opens) with MV3D in the future and having that whole area be a Muppets theme. Or at least a similar theater Muppets show
2b. Also, there's possible space that if they wanted, they could try to do some sort of Muppets dark ride around RNR. I'd love for them to consider it
3. No immediate plans for Muppets to go to HoP which is great! Sorry, not sorry, but I'd rather keep HoP than MV3D given the option between the two
Now the downside....
1. My biggest issue is the timing. These plans are actually totally fine, but it will mean that both MV3D and RNR will go down before new stuff opens so DHS is going to have a capacity hit which it really cannot afford. The park is a slog to tour because of not enough stuff. IMHO, they should have knocked down Launch Bay and the backstage stuff there and build a new land with multiple rides first and when that was open, then worked on Monsters Inc/Muppets/RNR.
2. I really wanted to see Launch Bay and the old animation building torn down so we could get movement in that area. IMHO my biggest fear is that the idiots in charge end up saying things are "Good enough" and not address that area in the near to mod future when that is really the location where DHS needs expansion. It's like a decade overdue to have something substantial happen there. I don't care what it is, but they need to build something in that footprint ASAP for more attraction capacity and connect it to the RNR area for better guest flow.
Don't forget just flat-out stagnation.Disney-MGM Studios was so underbuilt its been cursed to forever play capacity catch up, aggravated by a continued approach to replace things instead of true additions. Disney Studios Paris and HKDL have suffered similar fates.
Trust me, I would much rather that come than have the Muppets be shoehorned into RnRC. Would've been a better utilization of them than an intense roller coaster with a high height requirement to matchSo what you’re saying is The Great Muppets Movie Ride is confirmed!
This is a valid point. I was assuming a continuous running movie similar to Muppets but they could have live action or more interactive props making it longer between shows. It would also have to be continiously running with same operating times.
What would this look like on a map?I've heard an expansion further south isn't out of the question. And that mini-feasibility study was one of the things holding up the announcement.
Country Bears is improved. It was always IP stuff, it's just the IP in the classic version is now super outdated & no one knew what those songs were anymore. Now it's replaced with more IP that people recognize.First they came for Maelstrom….
Then they came for Great Movie Ride…
Then they came for Splash Mountain….
Then they came for the Country Bears…
Then they came for Muppet Vision….
