I say we KEEP Rockin and ADD Monsters in the UNUSED Launch bay resulting in an ADDITIONAL attraction instead of the DESTRUCTION AND RETHEME of an EXISTING attraction. Why is Monsters not being considered as a Rockin replacement????
Have we heard whether the Monsters Coaster is replacing Journey of Water or Connections?
Sure! I'll try anything at this point.Do you like Zootopia?
I really hope not, but I'd be down with Indy Stunt Show taking over for the Nemo Musical in a heartbeat.Indy?
I'm still in mourning for the Tarzan Rocks Show. I suppose Nemo is OK but it always puts me to sleep so I couldnt swear one way or the other. MarieI really hope not, but I'd be down with Indy Stunt Show taking over for the Nemo Musical in a heartbeat.
I would love if Monsters replaced JOW but they would have to put up walls again for another 5 years or so.Have we heard whether the Monsters Coaster is replacing Journey of Water or Connections?
It would be worth it to block that planter. Too many questions from my sons.I would love if Monsters replaced JOW but they would have to put up walls again for another 5 years or so.
At the risk of going to wdwmagic forums jail again, here you go -It would be worth it to block that planter. Too many questions from my sons.
It's a prime location for a large land since it could take the theater, backstage and backlot and then could expand into the parking lot. Backlot and Indy are really some of the last remnants of the "how movies are made" theme which is why I think they will eventually be on the chopping block, especially now that Indy will have representation in AK.,I do wonder if they use the theatre space only, or eat into the backstage area and/or backlot express.
Funny I talk about this lol, apparently sea world and Sesame workshop are in a lawsuit over 11 Mill in unpaid licensing fees. Seaworld was forced by a judge to pay. (I am delusional)If only seaworld/Busch Gardens didn’t have Sesame Street so locked up. Maybe we couldve had a whole “Jim Henson” land at dhs, with some sort of SS ride replacing star tours (in my mind a version of ride and go seek), sort of extending the “muppet city” vibe grand avenue has with its stuff. Oh well, that’s what the imagineering forum is for.
Yeah, that’s where the next expansion should be. With those two areas. They are remnants. The thing is I feel like if something happens to backlot, somebting happens to Star tours, due to the closeness. That’s why I thought in my mind: Indy , backstage, and parking lot for a new land, and then Star tours and Backlot for a singular ride/grand avenue expansionIt's a prime location for a large land since it could take the theater, backstage and backlot and then could expand into the parking lot. The real question is: if they don’t intend on expanding SWGE to connect star tours, than why is it around other than to promote stuff? I do feel like Star tours kinda is gonna go eventually, even thought I like it.SWGE already has space for expansion should that come to pass. They would not have considered Muppet Courtyard for the MI coaster if that would have precluded them from expanding SWGE.
I say KEEP IT, as its an attraction its part of the capacity of the park. Removing it just subtracts capacity. The real question is: if they don’t intend on expanding SWGE to connect star tours, than why is it around other than to promote stuff? True. It’s exterior is kidna a relic of the “studio within a studio” part tho, with the half stuff. Maybe update it,make all the stuff whole? In my mind I always thought it gets replaced with a similar high capacity ride. I would 100% be down with star tours and muppets living in harmony as DHS’s “classic” rides with tower. Maybe make it fit into grand avenue, build an indoor space where the outdoor space was, like Tokyo?I say KEEP IT, as its an attraction its part of the capacity of the park. I thought that was just a joke. Are they actually considering that?Do you like Zootopia?
I agree it's a good movie, but if they're putting it in the Tree of Life, I don't think it needs a whole land over in Hollywood Studios. It was a great move
Star Tours is interesting for many reasons. It’s the easiest ride to use as a promotion for new Star Wars content since it is in DLR, WDW, DLP, and TDR and it’s relatively easy to add new sequences. The real question is: if they don’t intend on expanding SWGE to connect star tours, than why is it around other than to promote stuff? That is true. DHS always has bigger fish to fry, and star tours and muppets are two park institutions that have much needed capacity, and history at a park that has is the ship of thesus of wdw. It’s also just pure fun, and easily changeable. I do hope Disney isn’t blinded by “expand and replace” and allows them to be the parks supporting cast.Star Tours is interesting for many reasons. It’s also currently the only attraction where guests can see beloved characters like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, or the Mandalorian. Until Disney finds a way to add these characters to Galaxy’s Edge, I think Star Tours has a home.
Studios ALSO has much bigger fish to fry in terms of replacements. Animation Courtyard is ripe for replacement (either Monsters or something else entirely). RnRC is getting more dated every day. Beauty and Indy aren’t the draws they once were, especially with those franchises represented in other parks. I think that’ll keep Star Tours around for a while longer.
The only way I see Star Tours disappearing is if Disney needs a cheap easy overlay and they can clone something for some of the other Star Tours around the world. Basically I think Disneyland’s Tomorrowland revamp is our best chance at seeing Star Tours replaced.
