Monorail: Unique mechanical view

I expect many have seen the listing of the Monorail head car currently on Ebay. (Description states it is a Mark IV, and it is located in Tampa.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/151621644994?roken2=tf.pSEM=.bSk0=.g48.cfb#prclt-27MSh2cg

One of the listing pictures is intriguing to me; specifically the one showing the tires at the back of the car.

Can anyone explain what we are looking at here? I know there was a big tire to support the car on the beam, and smaller tires on the side to act as guides on the rail.

What I am curious about is was the main tire really that high in the train?

Is it mounted on a hydraulic raising and lowering armature?

Is there a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) on the support tire, like on military and industrial vehicles? (The hose coming from the valve stem to the center hub)

I see several side-guide tires in this picture - were there really two per side?

There is just so much going on in this picture - I'd love for the experts to chime in!

Te main support tyres aren't really "that high".

They're just very big. The bottom of the tyre is the level of the track. Remember only 3/4 of what you see from the side is cabin. The other 1/4 is skirt hiding the side wheels.

This is why there's a slope inside at the end of each cabin.

This is an old monorail cab. Notice the handles on the doors? I don't know if the current model still uses this mechanical configuration or if they've been updated but I'm sure someone here will know!

The Mark VIs still use this same configuration. As do the M-VIs/INNOVIA 200s in Las Vegas. The Bombardier website may have some technical info as would monorails.com.
