Well folks... I can't beleive what I saw today... As some of you might know, Disney has been re-painting the monorails, to give them that shiny glossy look. The first train they did was Coral. The painters did a horrible job. The stripe is crooked, and the white deltas were mismatched in size and shape. The second train they did was Black. They actually did a decent job on Black.

The most recent train that they've completed was Monorail Lime. As you all probably know, Lime was a light flourescent lime green color, with dark blue deltas in the middle. It was originally created to honor the original monorail pilots, and the lime green & dark blue costumes that they wore.

However... when Lime was re-painted, the Monorail Area Manager and WDI decided to change the train's paint scheme. Now, instead of the dark blue deltas, it has white deltas. Lime used to be my favorite color, but the new color scheme looks horrible.

What was now a Tribute, is now a Disgrace. :(

What a shame... Lime was my favorite monorail... There was just something about the lime and blue that made it look really sharp... Disney, if you are listening, put the blue stripes back!

Must admit, lime is a pretty smart colour. I can't really imagine how the new ones look, so I will wait for the posted pictures before I pass judgement. :veryconfu

Thats a real shame. I think if the painters did a bad job, and you can tell they did a bad job.. they should do them over again! And for gods sake.. white with lime? :( I never even got the chance to buy a die-cast monorail of that color.. does anyone know if that particular monorail was ever avalibale? If so I could always get it on e-Bay

They haven't done Lime yet... When they get there, who knows if they'll do the original Lime or the new Lime... *shrug*

:( Oh no! Say it isn't so! We always had to ride on the lime colored monorail with our son. This year his favorite color is yellow so he's already wanting to go on the yellow monorail at Disney! Hopefully Disney can make him happy :animwink:

Bring back the lime monorail!

10 days to Disney!
OKW, here we come!

That's too bad. Wow that's the second thing that is a tradition that has been removed TODAY. The other was the Senior Rock from my High School. It is now sitting at my swim club.:(

i dont understand if they have to change things when their not broken.

especially if they painted it to honor the old pilots.

thiers are plenty of things they could of spent the money repeainting the monorails on, like some general maitenece.
