And for gods sake.. white with lime? :( I never even got the chance to buy a die-cast monorail of that color.. does anyone know if that particular monorail was ever avalibale? If so I could always get it on e-Bay

Monorail256 Where can you get Die cast of the monorail from. Please let me know

Fantasia Boi, would you please break all monorails at WDW so we can get those spiffy ones like Tokyo Disney has? Thank you in advance. ;)

They look nice but they would get trashed in short order. In Japan everything is Spick-N-Span and they keep it that way by a cultural pholosiphy, they wouldn't do that here. Teenagers would tear them up over time and they probably wouldnt repair them as they should.

I actually prefer the old MarkIV from the first days there. I a little quirk that I have for them. I now refer to them as the "Slammers" because the MarkIV had bench seating that went across the cab from side to side facing each other with an isle and a single door for each isle and they all opened with the door hinge toward the dominante forward direction Pilot cab on each side. when the Monorail was finished loading and preparing to disembark a CM would go down the Monorail and "slam" each door shut in rapid sucession. Unlike the Mark VI that has the automatic "Blinker" doors like the old Chicago "L" did until the 70s

Remember when Disney ment quality and clean and friendly....

LOL. Sorry, I don't mean to make any CMs mad but Disney was better years ago compared to today.

I mean it is still Disney but they dont care as much as before. Today it is all about profit. That is why they screwed up the paint job... because they just don't care.

I agree wholeheartedly... as will any CM that has been there more than 2 years

As do I...I will keep going back to the World, but I'm really afraid that the magic that I'm searching for - the magic that was there on my first few visits- is gone...

I will still keep going back though, just in case...

Whoa, when did this topic come up? I missed it.

Anyway, Lime is my favorite color and my favorite monorail.

I will have to see it for myself.

[EDIT]

Looking at the pics, I must say that if anything they should have made the whole thing lime. Not just leaving a white space. It looks really ugly.

Oh, and I never did understand the Blue part before now.
