Please don't get arrested. And if you do, please make sure to scream "I JUST WANT TO SEE THE FOOTERS! THE FOOOTTEERRRRSSSSSS!"
I'm going to wind up like Carrie in Homeland - in a mental institute someone - if I ended up in handcuffs yelling that! I'll do my best to make it legit. I'll talk to CMs and see if they will help and tell them what I am doing first.

Bah, you'll be in the looney bin under the bed scratching at the floor tiles looking for monorail footers.

I'm going to WDW in the next few days. I'm going to make a documentary about monorail footers. I'm going to investigate this and solve the puzzle once and for all. I need to know where in Epcot I can go to get as close as possible to the alleged footer. Is it on test track?

Two words OPT OUT :eek::eek:

For the sake of all thats sneaky and sleuth-like

please opt out. From what I've heard, they know where you are! :rolleyes:

I will assure everyone that I will not get arrested. I will ask for a supervised tour of the area first. I will go all the up the command chain until I get a YES. If I fail to get what I want, I will ride Test Track the rest of the day with a camera with super telescopic lens in order to get the shot.

I will also try to interview people for the documentary, which I will conceal as a documentary on mass transit and how contribution the Disney Company has made towards its progress in the history of mass transit. I will gently ease the discussion from the history of monorails and peoplemovers to the company's cancelled plans on extending the current system, hope for future extensions, and then I will ease my way into footer questions.

I encourage you not to take no for an answer. Walt didn't.

I think WDW's was Bombardier, so it wasn't "in house" so not sure if that counts
It was in-house by a WDI (then-called WED Enterprises) subsidiary called WED Community Transportation Sevices. It may have subcontracted out to Bombardier and Siemans, but the entire subsidiary of CTS was sold to Bombardier. Patents in the divesture included all the patents relating to the monorail and WEDway PeopleMover. The Bombardier monorail system in Las Vegas is a direct descendant of the WDW one.

Good job posting your plan here for Disney management to read.
