MNSSHP Touring Plan

We are heading to the MNSSHP on what should be an evening with moderate crowds, and I wondered what our best bet would be for doing the party in the most time-economical manner.

Here are our constraints:

1) We would like to attend both showings of the parade if possible. If not possible, the 2nd showing, as I presume it is less crowded.

2) We will be watching HalloWishes, and one showing of the Villains Castle Front Court show.

3) We are not interested in any candy, nor are we interested in prolonged viewings of the dance parties (probably will turn our heads and watch a bit in passing).

4) We would like to do every character meet and greet. For the Meet and Greets that are outdoors, we would like to do these earlier while it is still light out, if pragmatic. Since I would hazard a guess that these have much shorter lines around midnight, it's fine for us to wait if necessary (does Mickey have short lines RIGHT AT 7 p.m. if we were to get in line at the start of the party?).

5) We would like to experience any of the additional special offerings, such as the storyteller(s).

6) We won't be visiting any attractions during the party and we will eat prior to the party.

I think that's about it. We aren't expecting any detailed "Start at point X, go to Y, then Z, etc.," (but hey, if you want to get that detailed, we'd love it!) plans, just general hints, advice, or anything else you may have to offer. Thanks in advance for the help!

At last night's party, Main Street was pretty crowded for the first parade, but less so than, say, a summer running of Spectromagic. There were curb seats available in some parts of Town Square up until about 8:15 or so. However, some Guests were claiming their spots on the main section of Main Street as early as 6:45-ish.

In general, for you I'd recommend getting there prior to the party starting and making your way back to Toontown, as that's where most of the character greeting locations are. The lines probably won't be too bad right around 7:00, as most party Guests don't arrive at the park until then. I'd probably wait until the 11:15 Villains Mix and Mingle, though. Note that the meet and greets close at 11:30.

As far as additional scheduled entertainment:
Buzz Lightyear has a scheduled meet and greet at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00
Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella have a scheduled meet and greet in the Fairytale Gardens Theater at 7:00, 8:45, 10:00 and 11:00
The Lonesome Strangers Banjo Band performs along Main Street at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30
Madame Carlotta is at the Haunted Mansion from 7:00-midnight
The Cadaver Dans perform at the Liberty Square Riverboat landing at 7:00, 7:55, 9:00, 10:10 and 11:15
A group called the Rusty Cutlass performs near Pirates of the Carribbean at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00

Hope this helps with your planning!

I was in line for Mickey an hour before the party started and by the time 7pm came around his line was long! I would definitely get there early if you want to see him or plan to wait a long time.

I went and saw Minnie right after that and then went and got in line for Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs and saw them on the first set. This year they are not cutting the line for Snow White and the Dwarfs. So you can get in line and wait for them but just because you are in line doesn't mean you will see them that time. You could end up waiting till their 2nd set or 3rd. I know sometimes the line has been all the way to the Toon Town sign. I would see them early as well. The Jungle characters-Timon, Rafiki, Tarzan, Jane, Terk, Baloo etc usually don't have a huge wait.

I would watch both parades if you can. It is worth it!

Regarding Mickey's line at 7 p.m., how long is 'long'? We definitely won't line up an hour before the party, what would the wait likely be if we got in line at 6:45? I know at the MVMCP (or at least the one we attended), you could get in line for Mickey and Minnie up until 11:59 p.m.. Is the same true at MNSSHP?

I would say it was at least 30-45 minutes at that point. I think the characters are all done around 11:30.

We're going for the first time this year as well and I'm all about the characters, especially rarer ones. I have LOTS of questions. :)

Where do Snow and the dwarfs do their sets exactly?

What are Mickey and Minnie wearing? Is it their now global Halloween costume?

Does Goliath still do meet and greets behind the Castle?

What other rare characters should I be looking for and where?

Thanks so much in advance!

I have a silly question that I'm trying to get confirmed as well. I've asked WDW both on the phone and in person and have had inconsistent answers. :/

I've heard you can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4pm if you have a MNSSHP ticket.

We're having a birthday party when we go on the 6th and our group really loves the Move It Shake It parade. theres a showing of it at 5:40pm and we'd really love to do it.

Can we get in at 4? Do they let you in while in costume at this time?

Thanks in advance for any help. This will drastically change our plans if we can or can't get in.

We didn't get to do many characters because the kids wanted to do the candy. I can tell you this much though the line for Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs was insane all evening, I could not even get close enough to get a decent pic of them all together. Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee & Dum, on the candy trail, the Pooh Bear characters, Jesse, Woody & Bullseye lines were not that long so we snagged them easily.

We did get there early and was able to meet Madame Carlotta easily as she was walking to the HM- she started carrying on a really great conversation with DH, it was hysterical.

The parade is wonderful as is the Villians Mix & Mingle show, our timing was off as far as meeting them as well because the show we were able to catch was right before Hallowishes.

Good luck & have fun- can't wait to see the pics when you get back.

A few more questions based on what I've seen/read:

1) When do Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs come out for their first set? I've heard conflicting reports of 7 and 7:30 p.m.

2) Does "626 Stitch" (the one with the orange space suit) do meet and greets, or just the dance party?

3) Do the Villians do meet and greet pictures after the last (11:15 p.m.) Villains Mix & Mingle? Are the M&G locations near the front of the stage? I would like to determine where to line up in advance so we can hit as many villains as possible after the show.

4) Where is Cinderella's Coach? Are the lines usually bad for that?

I am not sure about the Snow White I think it was a little after 7:00 by the time we made it there and they were out.

Cinderella's Coach was located last year at the old FL Skyway/now stroller parking area. Early on the line was not that bad but it was longer as the evening moved along.
