MNSSHP Questions

Hey guys. I tried to avoid posting another thread about MNSSHP but my questions didn't get answered on the other thread.

I'm heading to the party on 10.21 with a group of 6 adults and I have the following questions:

1) how early can we get into MK with our NSSHP tickets? 2 of us have APs but the others don't. I thought I had heard that we can get in as early as 5pm but I haven't been able to get that confirmed yet.

2) do adults need to dress up in order to participate in the "trick or treating"? I've never been to the party and half of the people going with us are not really Disney fans> I convinced them to attend this instead of HOS at Busch Gardens and one of my big selling points was the candy...

thanks for your help guys!

I think you can get in starting at 4pm. 5pm definately though.

No, you don't need to dress up, but it's more fun. Lots of people do dress up, so you might feel a little left out. Atlast convince them of halloween themed s and funky hats.

In previous years i didn't dress up, went the funky hat and appropriate seasonal colors route - always felt a smidge "left out" but before going i always thought i'd feel weird tromping around in a costume. This year i'm going all out. I've always come back with a bag full of candy. That includes 1 year here my costume was.. umm.. nothing? I really dont think i wore anything halloween-ish the first time.

PS: Went to Target and got nice "pillowcase style" trick or treat bags for this year. They have draw strings so that it can be worn like a backpack. The treat bags Disney gives are plenty big for all your candy needs, but they get to be a pain to lug arround - and they are plastic and can sometimes break.

We bought the same bags!! We'll be carrying them with us on 10/18

You can get in 3 hours before the start time of the party.

You don't need to dress up. DS wore his costume but only for about 1/2 the night we went. I just wore a $5 halloween shirt I bought at Target. The bags they giive out are ok. If they break of get full you can always get another.

We went to the party last Friday and the 6 of us did not really dress up. The guys had hawaiian shirts and no one said anything. We had such a fun time. And the Parade and Fireworks were top notch. We saw this guy dressed as a Heidi but the costume was a blowup. It was the funniest thing.

We are going on the 23rd!

When I bought the Halloween tickets from Disney she told me that I should be able to get in at 5pm and there maybe a possibility of getting in at 4pm. You have to have a wristband in order to stay in the park, which is fair. I was afraid of how crowded it would be since I have a very active 2 year old. Who is dressing up as Cinderella of course! I suggested dressing up as the ugly step sitters but my DH wont go for it. :-( So I guess I'll hit Target too and get a few Halloween t-shirts!

Not meaning to take over your thread but we are dining in the castle at 7:30pm. It was the only time we could get in that week to celebrate my daughter's birthday. :sohappy: Is this a bad idea??? Will we miss too much of MNNSHP???

It's going to be rough with a 2 yr old at 7:30p because by the time you get out of the restaurant you will have already missed the early parade which is at 8:15 and seeing the next one isn't until 11p, I'm sure you will not stay until then.

When we went with my 3 yr nephew, we had dinner at CP at 5:10, but weren't seated until 5:35p after checking in at 4:45p. We were finished by 6:30p, so we had a 1/2 to go on some rides and then at 7p we were able to start right in on trick or treating which ended up being a good thing as we were their on 9/14 when it rained, so at least he was able to get some candy as he was looking so forward to it.

What do you do if you are already in the park? Me and DH are planning on spending the Day in MK that day Oct 4th. So what do we do?Do you just show your ticket somewhere in the park to get your wrist band or what?

Help!

Thank you. I can't wait to go. I have 6 days and counting. :sohappy: But where do I tell the kids we are going. I'm affraid my 4 year old will get upset if he knew we are going to WDW without him. Even though we are taking him next year.
