Oh wow! They're thoroughThey do a big sweep from the rear of the park to the front, asking people without a wristband to leave. They check for wristbands at each queue area as well, so even if someone managed to avoid the sweep, they wouldn't be able to actually do anything.
Ha!Small electrical shocks administered through Magic Bands of non-party guests.
Your friendly Disney World Gestapo.Plus the aforementioned sweep. Seeing a line of CMs come up Main Street was a revelation. As it was to an adjacent family trying to ignore them.
About ten years ago I stuck around during the "Night of Joy" once I realized I couldn't do anything I headed out of the park. When I got towards the entrance as I came under the train tracks they had CMs putting wristbands on people. This was closer to the tunnel, with a huge open area before the turnstiles, so basically you scanned your ticket at the turnstile then moved forward thru the open area to where the wristbands were. I decided to get almost all the way to the turnstiles, then kinda hung out by the gift shop off to the side for a few minutes, then cut straight across to the other tunnel side, and then just walk up to one of the people putting on wrist bands who weren't rechecking tickets or anything. They put a wristband on me and I walked back in. Hung out for a while but the place was so packed and since only so much was open, lines were very long, so I did a ride or two and ended up leaving anyway.
