So the Braves have played 90 games, made it past the All Star break, and Matt Olsen has more HR(30)than the Braves have losses(29)…

**edit** with yesterday’s defeat, the two columns are tied….

The Braves have perfected futility all whilst being the best team in the league….

That Starting Pitcher we trotted out today? Supposedly he was being showcased to the ChiSox as part of a trade for Bullpen help…oops….shoulda stuck with Elder

Yeah. The last 2 games were very much forgettable.

How many runs does it take to win?

The month on June saw the Braves Starting Pitchers have the most Wins in the Majors while simultaneously having the HIGHEST ERA…..

Hey, our record looks great, but the deeper dig in the stats causes extreme concern…..in a loss scored 13 last night…in a spanking….

I just checked the standings and as of this post the METS have 37 wins and 46 loses!
Pre season expectations were much brighter than that.
What do posters here feel is the biggest reason they are 9 games under 500?
1) Our relief pitchers like to give away games :( They tried to do it again last night.
2) And THIS!!

Some high school teams play better than this!

Yeah, the last few games have been rough. That slugfest was ridiculous.

I didn’t know that pitching stat, but it doesn’t surprise me. Our offense is what gets the job done most days. When the offense hits a rough patch the pitching isn’t really there to pick them up.

Let’s hope they haven’t peaked in Junior High…long way to go

Baltimore is playing some of the best ball in the league, now, have been playing great all year, surprised many by being so far ahead of schedule last year!

Last year we (DS and nephews in Philly) took in a couple of games when the Flash Sales were too good to pass up (I've been taking in at least one game for the last several years and get the Flash Sale notices via text/email)

So this morning I received ANOTHER Flash Sale for 50% off, Including:

Astros - Aug 8-10,,,$21 can get you Row 2 Sec 12 ... about halfway between 1st Base and Foul Poll
BlueJays - Aug 22-24
Rockies - Aug 25 (Assume this is a make up game?) .... Same Ticket as above for Houston is $35....Friday Premium?
White Sox - Aug 28-30

Looks like they still have issues filling Camden during the week (all game are M-Th, with the exception of Rockies/Friday)

Braves 10-7 win last night was highlighted by newly acquired pitchers....

Yonny Chirino 3 2/3 Innings, 6 hits, 4 Earned runs as the Starting Pitcher
Pierce Johnson 1 Inning, 1 Hit no Earned Runs in relief

Nothing to be excited about with either's performance....but another game gone and another Win.....
