Mktiggerman Is Right!

On another thread, mktiggerman spoke of CM abuse and he was correct. I don't know all the ins and outs of Disney protocol but I do know that being a costumed character is no picnic. Years ago I had to "rescue" the Big Bad Wolf in the MK when a bunch of little kids started to kick, hit him and pull his whiskers out! I saw some parents that thought this whole incident was "funny". Well, to the person inside that hot costume it was no joke. I don't know where his "bodyguards" were at the time but he was being kicked very hard. I yelled at the kids to get away and I then grasp the BBW by the arm and asked him, "Are you ok?" He didn't respond (I suppose because I was just a regular guest) but I knew he was in trouble because he was very weak in the knees. I didn't know where to take him. I asked him, "Which way do we go?" and he pointed with his other arm to what looked like a dead end. I walked him over to the dead end when all of a sudden 2 CM's came out of nowhere and grabbed the BBW away from me. At that point the BBW said to the other CM's, "Be cool, he helped me *** ******!!". (The *** are deleted swear words). One CM turned to me, shook my hand and said, "Thanks for your help, wait here for a minute" while the other CM took control of the BBW. Before I could say anything, all of them were gone! I don't know where they went. I didn't see a door or any other way to exit. I had to get back to my family so I left. Anyway, I'm sure that the "good" characters such as mktiggerman get a good share of abuse too! Take care of yourself.

Way to go, Jimmy!

I, too, have defended CMs from unruly kids but I have a tendency to blast the parents for ignoring it...more than once, the characters have given me a thumbs or paw up for helping them...

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
I have heard stories like this too...
One of my older friends son..goes to WDW all the time as he lives right off of Disney Property...And I guess he abused the costume characters as well.... What a jerk! I got angry when I heard of this..friggin punk...I have no respect for him anymore. Poor creatures.

Oh and Tramp...I have seen some characters get nailed in the gonads too..but just little excited kids running up to them at full speed...unable to stop...and the check the poor things like a guy getting checked into the boards at a hockey game...lol.Not done on purpose I am sure.

people just need to have common sense and learn to cut the crap. Disney characters are real.. they're not a person in a suit, they are the actual heroes and villains of Disney (and a few other) movies. Now, if we're talking about universal characters.. they're kinda hokey IMO

SHOCKING CM PROBLEM...

Incident...I was watching Fantasmic! at MGM. Mickey Mouse was running from the light to start the fountains, he slipped on the wet stage and broke his ankle/foot. All the people were laughing and the girls next to me asked if Mickey was dead. I assured them he wasn't and that he just dove under the water ;). I saw like 4 people get kicked out for saying Mickey Mouse was dead. The WeirdOne :D

As an escort, I had to save the "Three Wise Men" from the herds of Brazilian guests running to them, getting on the little stage and pulling their beards... it was scary...

The problem is that with this not-to-old Disney politic of hiring older people , cast members from 65 and beyond, are not only the ones in charge of some shops, but sometimes play characters, too, and this could end in a tragedy. But nothing can be done , just irresponsible fathers taking care of their kids-

P.S: How can I include a picture in my info?
P.S 2: DMC-12, you use to go to the BTTF board?

they should let the characters wear pads and mouthguards...they don't talk anyway...and perhaps athletic supporters...shouldn't neuter Pluto after these many years...
