Pooh's Playful Spot is here to stay. What will happen behind it is another expectation I have

Just curious if you know whether they are looking at using this land as part of Fantasyland or Toontown Fair?

Good to hear I am not to far off base with my expectations V. reality. Btw, I think I have an idea of what you mean with your Future World comment.

The area would essentially be an extension of Fantasyland. The budget for the project including theming and area/facade design is strong, so that should make the project more notable.

As for Future World, I refer to two projects. Which side are you thinking of, because it can be narrowed down to one side... :animwink:

I'm thinking it is one pavilion 2 attractions on the Westside of Future World, which I want to happen....even though parts of me want a refurb and something new in a vacant space on the Eastside.

The 40th is going to be something special. Things have been brewing for a while on this, and seem to be being held back for this event.

I made a bad mistake there, in saying that the projects were on the same side. One is in Future World West, the other in East. Sorry about that!

This is exactly what I have been thinking. The lack of announcements and new projects at the parks starting next year really seems to indicate a gearing up for the 40th anniversary. People should make those reservations early. Hopefully there will be something new at all 4 gates in 2011. Even if it's just a d ticket. Can't wait!

I've always thought it would be fun to have a Cinderella ride in Fantasyland, your vehicle begins by looking like a pumpkin. You're taken through the story and it is magically transformed into a coach and back to a pumpkin.

Why no Mary Poppins ride? I know they have a small scene in GMR, but this movie and it's music are perfect for a dark ride in FL also.

Of course DL has WDW beat in FL with Pinnocchio, Mr. Toad & Alice.

They can still dig out the filled in trench and bring back the Subs!

That is one event I want to plan to be at. I'm having to miss the AK 10th by 1 day. :zipit:

Space Mountain- The most likely of all of these. Pooh's Playful Spot is here to stay. What will happen behind it is another expectation I have, but not necessarily for the 40th.

I'm definately thinking that the Little Mermaid ride they're building at DCA will go there, except not until the all-out DCA refurbishment is finished w/ the Little Mermaid, which would be after 2011.

For Epcot, probably Imagination refurb, and, though this is a wild guess, making WoL into a weather pavillion with the Stormrider ride from TDS. Again, I have no further proof (other than the rumor I heard somewhere that Disney may be buying the Weather Channel)but it would be a neat idea.

So maybe an Energy refurb in addition to the Imagination refurb. I do not see anything going on with WOL yet. I mean they are still making money off the place with rentals. It also works pretty good as F&W and F&G festival center.

Well... I'm not denying anything you just said... :animwink:

Energy is set as it is for now... Imagination on the other hand...

Never ever happen. But the 20K from TDS could some day.

WHAT IS HAPPENING AT DCA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WDW BUDGET OR TIMELINES. IT'S EVEN POSSIBLE LITTLE MERMAID COULD OPEN AT WDW FIRST (CAPS ARE FOR EMPHASIS )

The old WoL pavillion belongs to someone else now and they are not giving it back.............ever (probably).

I figured as much.

Anyway, I still want a something to be done with Energy one day. It's nice for a nap but beyond that not much else. I guess it hasn't aged well in my opinion.

Oh you're not, are you? And what if I raised my expectations to a Journey to the Centre of the Earth in AK?

There is something very symmetrical in placing JTTCOTE at AK. It could be done with a very minimally themed show building exterior (similar to Dinosaur) which could keep costs down. And to have a park with an Everest and an adventure to the middle of the earth is fun to think about. But I just don't think they have the vision for it (hope I am wrong though).

Now I wouldn't necessarily deny that one either. But it most likely won't happen in time for the 40th...

As long as a proper budget is allocated, it should be done fantastically...
