MK/WDW 40th

It's possible that there are plans for Wonders of Life, but one thing that's been overlooked so far is maybe a new adventure for Mission: SPACE. And no one has mentioned a new film for Soarin', though if it is one project on each side of Future World, my money is on Journey Into Imagination.

Ideally, Jedimaster1227 would be referring to a Test Track replacement, but somehow I don't think so. :p

Mission:Space won't be altered for a while. Neither will Soarin'.

As for Test Track, thats going to happen once DCA gets the Cars attraction details fully conceptualized so that they can test some new effects on our system...

No offense to anyone here, but this thread sounds like little more than fanboys drooling over their hypothetical dreams for WDW's 40th (although I don't doubt that WDW will offer something magical in 2011). All of these rumors have been floating around the net for a while, and have never really been substantiated as anything more than blue sky. Are these changes actually being planned, or are you hoping that they'll be planned?

I will admit I am in no way in the know when it comes to most WDW things, so maybe I'm not the most qualified to make this judgment. However, these look like things anyone could say (although if most people here said them, they'd be met with demands for a source) it would be nice to have some semblance of a source attached to these claims.

I don't mean this to attack you, Adam, but you have a lot of respect at this site (and all over the Disney fan community) for your work with Epcot's 25th, and maybe because of that, some people take what you say as fact, without need for any corroboration. But given that you don't work for WDW, it's not first hand knowledge. Now, I understand that you can't be entirely forthcoming and sacrifice whatever connection you may have, but there is a middle ground between vague details (that anyone could find on the various WDW rumor sites) of what you 'expect' to be coming for WDW's 40th, and compromising a source.

Again--sorry if this is blunt, but it could be worse, I suppose (we've all seen how new posters giving similar information have been treated around here when they don't have a source).

I don't think you realize the extent of the replacement I would hope for. :D

Well if I know what you are thinking, then you may be disappointed. There will be many set replacements (and alot of empty space filled in), but the track layout should remain the same (with no extra tracks or sides added either).

Just the technology from Cars, right?because of Epcot is subjected to another Pixar refurb(even on Test Track)riots are gonna happen.

The technology from Test Track is going to Cars, rather than the other way around. You may want to find some shelter, because if what you say is true, another riot will happen.

But there are rumors that they'll test the new technology for Cars on Test Track and upgrade it if it works out well.

Not really disappointed, I'm not really expecting thing along those lines for a long time.

As for a Cars overlay, I don't know how I'd feel about that. I suppose that would have even less to do with Future World than it does now.

Seems to me test track is fine the way it is (and is still very popular). The sets could use an upgrade at most. I just can't believe they would do a Cars theme that took up an entire pavilion. Now adding a childrens Cars ride similar to what is at DRP would seem logical. Who knows? The next year or so will be intresting to say the least.

If GM's financial troubles worsen I can forsee them not being able to sponsor Test Track any longer and another theme may take its place...
