This is the first time we've ever succeded at it. SW must have done some serious overbooking, because we heard them offer the same thing on at least 6 other flights while we were waiting. It's really a great deal if you don't mind the waiting.

Overbooking should be eliminated...

The mountains.
I love the mountains.
The stars at night, I can't believe them!
When I lived in Flagstaff, I was just amazed at how starry the sky was every night, and how the snow on the mountains glowed from the moonlight. I just loved it!

All done with John Stuart Mill.

Dot: Melbourne is a pretty nicely sized, warm town. You should move here.

Thanks Luke.
It sounds wonderful.
Maybe someday, when we're ready to move to Florida, we'll check it out.

Luke, I was thinking of you when we were landing at MCO because someone mentioned that we were over Melborne. I waved, but you didn't wave back.

I think the absence of artificial light is the most amazing thing.
You can actually see the stars and the moonlight!
I loved it, too!

I saw a star once.
Turns out, it was a helicopter.

 Ha!

Remember, a few years back, there were meteor showers?
We got up in the middle of the night, took blankets and a thermos of hot chocolate down to the river bank (about a 1 minute walk from our building) and laid flat on our backs and watched them.
It was amazing.
Certainly didn't feel like I was in Philadelphia.

Uh... no, I don't.

Don't you?
Let me think . . .
We've lived here for six years, so it couldn't have been more than 5 years ago. I think the showers were estimated to start at about 4 AM. They lasted a long time. It was a cool experience.
