So there, society! :lookaroun
Awesome Dan. I think often doctors put limits on what a kid will do and those limits become true because parents don't allow the child to try something because they were told that the kid won't be able to and they don't want the child to fail. The get limited by the limits others place on them.dandaman said:I was supposed to have leg braces for my lifetime, but I never got them. Now I'm on the track team.

We ended up going to a different doctor for a second opinion, and he said (truthfully) that I'd be fine.
talkinghands said:Anyone here? Been a semi busy day for me. Got up early and went to pick up SHARE with my daughter. Usually Jim does this but he was in a class today. Then came back and stowed the perishables and then we went out for coffee. Girls got ready to go spread Victor's ashes on Key Biscayne (he did his Eagle Project there and the ashes will be spread near the project) and then head for the beach at Crandon park for the day with Priscilla's Dad.
Got the cutest swim diapers at SHARE for Rosie. Little Mermaid. I hope they fit. If not we have another friend that can use them with a girl a bit smaller. Rosie is 3 but she is tall and really skinny like her Mommy.
For those of you who haven't heard of SHARE it is a program where you get a package of groceries for a reduced amount (basic is $18) for doing 2 hours of volunteer work a month of your choice. They also have other items you can get available at no cost such as toiletries and fruits and vegetables. They also have bonus packs of meat like steaks, shrimp, bbq pack, etc. We got a ton of veggies. If anyone in Florida is interested it is done out of various churches and other places and if you give me your county and town I can give you information on sites. It is once a month.
Be careful and take cover if necessary. We get tornado warnings here too but very rarely have we been affected. My daughter did see an awesome funnel cloud when she was in high school and she went to school in downtown Miami. Said it was scary looking out the window and seeing that.jesserin said:AHHH... just turned on the radio - there's tornado's out all over Charleston right now! What in the world? The weather is gorgeous out right now... sunny and not a cloud in the sky... grr... guess we might be staying in after all...
