No... our 4x100 relay team qualified for SWOSSAA (Southwestern Ontario yada yada) track meet, which combines all of southern Ontario's best athletes. I was only supposed to be an alternate for the team (I was when they ran last week, as you may or may not remember). Alas, 10 minutes before class starts this morning, my coach asks if I could get on the bus.

Hmmm... get out of school? "SURE!" ;)

Sooo...we ended up in a heat with only one other relay team. We lost, but not by much (there was a bad exchange just before mine), and at least I kept pace with the other guy. :lol:

Not bad for something I wasn't supposed to be doing a few hours before. :lookaroun

I think I'm running on about 1/2 the normal amount of sleep for the week, and every teacher feels the need to shove all they can into these last few days.

Not much. BUT - there is a TERRIFIC cartoon in this week's New Yorker Magazine of a wake; the casket is a mess of uneven boards and loose nails, and a man's hand trails out from a huge gap. The widow confides to a fellow mourner, "Harry insisted on doing everything himself." :lol:

Thing is, the wind chilled to the bone (which isn't hard for someone of my build, or lack thereof :lookaroun). It rained occasionally, but it wasn't too bad in terms of precip.
