Man, I don't know what I would do without you guys.....we are so lucky to have you all to love on MJ...we've been so lonely and you all are helping sooo much!

Let me get through with this first week of school and I can plan it better. My cousin's wedding is around July 4th so I know it will be after that date. And the park is up to MJ.

saint louis childrens hospital has some of the best pediatric neurologists in the usa. you might need to look elsewhere since it sounds like your city is limited. i know a child who has multiple seizures all day and is on a special diet along with meds that is helping.

Also, the new Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital in Nashville is amazing. I had to take our 5 month old over there for a special corrective helmet and upon walking in I thought I was in one of Disney's All Star resorts. It is amazing inside. So much like Disney I got the bug to want to go back to WDW! With Saint Louis and Nashville, you certainly have a lot of options for specialists, if they are needed.

St. Jude's is excellent as is Children's Memorial in Chicago. The Ronald McDonald House is right next door. We live in a Chicago suburb so we're fortunate to have excellent care nearby. I don't know what I'd have done if we didn't.

Pray...... a lot....we were so spoiled with the care we got in CA, this has been really hard here...

I know I shouldn't be taking what is happening over in WDW Theme Parks personally, but this on top of everything else? I think I am going to cry....

Now, I'm not a medical professional, but what you describe as "staring seizures" sound a bit like what a student of mine once had - petit mal seizures. She had a form of epilepsy, controlled by medication; if she didn't take her medication exactly as directed, she had seizures.

Yes, that is what they are, only becaue she can't see the neuro for another month they haven't medicated her yet....unless she has to go into the hospital with another Grand Mal, we are out of luck until July 13th and whenever they do her tests, sigh!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. I really hate that a child (or their family) has to go through such suffering.

As to the people on the other thread that were so rude to you, they will ultimately be accountable for their attitudes and comments. You know, what goes around....

God bless.

Well, my family and I live over in Waterford Lakes and find ourselves at the Parks quite often. We're even having dinner at Garden Grill(finally) on Father's Day. We're looking forward to that. We'd love to meet up with you and your family sometime, since we've found that we have more fun when we have others with us because we get to enjoy the reactions of other people as well as ourselves.

Also, don't worry about what people are saying in the other thread. If it was really that big a deal, then Steve would have deleted or closed it already. Obviously, not really something he's that worried about right now.

Well, I gave a poster in the other thread a piece of my mind...and there were a lot of things I didn't say that would have gotten me kicked off this forum. I hope that things work out for you and MJ very, very soon. It's atrocious that a medical facility has a person in that situation waiting for that long for treatment. My thoughts are with you.

I can't believe some of the posts in that other thread. There are some people who explode with callous ignorance at the pettiest of things. Don't let them worry you. Only the opinions of people deserving of respect should carry any weight.

Thank you all so much for all of your support, I just can't imagine trying to get through this without you all!

Number 6, we'd love to meet your family! Sat we'll be at AK (for sure) and MGM (maybe) Sun and next weekend are taken up with other board meets, but we'll be back for three days for July 4th weekend.

I'm very much wiped out right now having gotten 10 hours of sleep in the last two days, so I am taking tomorrow to rest and get a couple of small errands done. Sunday will mostly be at Epcot probably, and I will most likely avoid the parks on July 4th weekend, just because I know how bad it will probably be there. I might try to go to Red, White and Boom up in Altamonte, though. I think they still do that, right? Anyway, if it ends up being after the 4th, then that's fine too. I'm sure we'll meet up with you sometime.

I think I'm going to have to also restrain myself from posing in the "other thread" - my last few posts in there had much more text in them originally, but I thought I'd better censor myself and make a short, but to-the-point statement about a certain someone.

Anyway, I've read all about MJ and Mommy - and this whole thread has really gotten to me. It's such a shame to see a child suffer like this, and I really hope the docs can help her out. On the other side, it is SUCH a wonderful thing that MJ Mommy and Daddy have done, by being so unselfish and adopting a needy child into such an overwhelmingly loving home. What more could any kid, handicapped or not, ask for than to play at Mickey's place every single weekend?!?!?

Times might be tough, and people might be rude and harsh, but God is still going to shine on those who deserve it :)

Keep on chugging MJ and all!

We are definitely sending tons of pixie dust your way !! We have 3 children and I thank God each and every day that they were born healthy, as a RN I know what complications children can have, to care for a SNC is such a tremendous undertaking and you and your husband deserve a special place for being such good parents, if only every child, healthy or otherwise had such care this world would be a much better place!! God Bless you and your family, I think he already did by letting you find each other:)
