Since most of it was overnight, traffic was light, but still that's a long drive!

We used to go every summer. We'd leave here around 9 pm and be at my mom's for dinner the next night. DH would do 99% of the driving, which really worried me. I'd try to stay awake, but not always sucessfully.
Now that SW airlines services our area, we've discovered how much better it is to fly and be there in 3 hours, but he often laments how he misses the drive.

I'm not a bit fan of flying, but it gets us there in just under 2 hours.
Driving I don't mind - as long as we stop once in a while! :lol:
Like once on the way down we stopped in Savannah for a few hours. I really loved that.
