MJ's Pixie Dust Gang

DS was very bright, and big for his age. He was also one of the youngest kids in his class, so he was picked on constantly. I feared for him in junior high when he had to use the locker room. Fortunately he met more kids who are marshmallows like him, many of them are also in the orchestra with him ( they call themselves the Orck Dorks).

That's what I mean about it becoming okay for him to be him.
It's such a shame that you have to cut through all the crap first.
Children should really be taught from an early age to accept the differences in people. I don't think they hear that enough.

I did a double-take when I saw the car on the lawn. I thought that was her car and she accelerated forward instead of braking. That would have been bad enough. Then I get the real story about her accelerating in reverse, and hitting herself and the other two cars. There were cops all over the place. I don't know if they'll ever figure this one out!
How did she hit herself? Did she fall out of the car or something?

No one seems to know.
A few people heard the thuds and went running out to find her on the ground. But she had to be going in reverse at a pretty good clip to knock that car totally out of its parking space, over the curb and up on the lawn. And somehow in the midst of that, she got out of the car????

BTW did ya'll agree with who was voted out last night on Dancing with the Stars. I wasn't ready for him to go just yet.
I didn't see him dance the night before, but he looked pretty good in the highlights that they showed. I felt sorry for her....

Yes in her 80s.
And she had brain surgery this past summer.
I really think that people should be seriously reevaluated at regular intervals in regard to their driving capacity after they reach a certain age. We have more and more elderly drivers out there who have no business behind the wheel and it's becoming a real problem.
My own dad, during the last few years of his life, should not have been allowed to drive. We all knew that he wasn't as sharp as he should be, but how do you take away someone's last vestige of independence? We didn't know how but, we should have thought of a way, and so should a lot of family members of elderly drivers.

I wasn't a big Harry fan, but he could have stayed a while longer. He was definitely improving. Poor Ashley was so upset!
I think Willa should have gone. Or Jerry, whose days are definitely numbered.

Agree with that statement. I would hate to give up mine but at the same time I hope someone would tell me.:zipit:

My aunt just had an accident last Sunday. She's in her 80's too. She got dizzy while driving and tried to pull over, but hit a tree instead. She totalled the car, but she's OK. We figure that this was a blessing in disguise. She could have hurt or even killed someone, and now with no vehicle it will be a lot easier to keep her off the road. My mom still drives and she's 86, but she's very leary of going too far since her accident 10 years ago.
