DS is very much like you Freddy, and he suffered for it through elementary school and partly in junior high. In high school though he found his niche, and although it hasn't exactly been one big picnic for him, he's learned to kind of roll with the punches. There are lots of different personalities out there, and you're never going to please them all, so just concentrate on being the best you can be!:)

Well I missed a lot.
I can see Freddy's point . . .I hate confrontation.
But I also agree with Connor. . .argument and confrontation don't have to be in-your-face ugly. They can be constructive and productive.
I think Freddy should stay in the race if he thinks he can ultimately do a good job as Chair. Campaigns can get nasty, but they do end.

So I went out for a refreshing walk around our complex, only to discover that one of our residents somehow mananged to run herself over with her own car. Somehow she accelerated the car in reverse, ran herself over and rammed two other cars, pushing one of them right out of its parking space and onto the lawn. She's in critical condition. No one knows how she managed to do this!

Sounds like my Lauren. She found her niche in high school as well. But grade school was tough for her. She's always been her own person. And for people like her, there comes a time where being you becomes alright. It takes time. Children are not accepting. So you have to learn to accept yourself and find your own way!

I did a double-take when I saw the car on the lawn. I thought that was her car and she accelerated forward instead of braking. That would have been bad enough. Then I get the real story about her accelerating in reverse, and hitting herself and the other two cars. There were cops all over the place. I don't know if they'll ever figure this one out!

DS was very bright, and big for his age. He was also one of the youngest kids in his class, so he was picked on constantly. I feared for him in junior high when he had to use the locker room. Fortunately he met more kids who are marshmallows like him, many of them are also in the orchestra with him ( they call themselves the Orck Dorks).
