Drama at work - I might as well work at General Hospital...
So I put together the monthly newsletter that goes out to employees, volunteers, physicians, board members, etc... Every May we include photos of recent graduates (high school or college). They can either be employees or employees/doctors' children or grandchildren. WELL... "Ashley's" mom just called me saying, "Um... did someone submit a photo of Ashley so-and-so? Because I'm her mother and I think Ashley's step-mother may have submitted a photo."
Me: "Um... let me check." *looks through 50+ photos* "Yes, we have a picture of Ashley"
Mom: "Was it 'Christie' who submitted it? That undermining tramp. Well, I was going to submit a photo of Ashley (NOTE: photos are due on Friday and they've known for a month and a half to start submitting photos) but 'Christie' had to go behind my back. Well, what are you going to do?"
Me: "Would you like to submit a different photo?"
Mom: "Well, I just don't think I want Ashley's photo in the newsletter at all. I think, as her mother, I just may have you take it out completely b/c I didn't want 'Christie' submitting a photo of MY DAUGHTER!"
Me: "Well, if you want to discuss it with 'Christie' and let us know what you two decide we'll go with that."
Mom: "I don't talk to that woman!"
