Just try to get one with anti skip.

Or...I don't know how cheap you could get a mp3 player for...not an i-pod...just an mp3 player...but since that's the wave of the future...that might be an option...if reasonable enough

I think my DH got an mp3 at Big Lots for about $30 - he downloaded all our Disney music before our last trip onto it.

You can get a basic CD player for about $10-20 at Walmart. If she likes to dance to her music while she listens, make sure you get one that won't skip when it's bumped. Walmart should have them.
BTW, I get what you're saying about not knowing what to get your DD. Abby will be 10 in May, and is starting to think about nail polish and her hair and clothes...sigh.....but she was very excited when I came home Saturday with Pocahontas and Mulan dolls for her!

They are tough to buy for. Do you still get Easter baskets or did you ever get them the baskets. I do normally and I put bathingsuits, towels and flip flops that match in them instead of a bunch of candy. I do put some candy in it so I can enjoy it.:D

I actually don't know a whole lot either. I'm getting so out of touch and that's my generation!
MP3 players have come down in price quite a bit. My kids both have one (no I-pods though!). They download their CD's onto the computer, then copy them into the MP3 player. They're quite small, but hold a lot of music.

I'd probably start her with a CD player though - she'll be asking for an MP3 soon enough!

Oh...I still really want an mp3 player...

Although what I really want is an ipod...but I don't think I can afford that. So I might have to just get a regular mp3 player soon.

My DS and DD still get baskets, but the stuff they want in them now is a lot more expensive. I usually get them each a DVD, then sample-size cosmetics for DD and guitar strings for DS. I try to limit the candy in the house, since I'll eat it if it's there....

Have they started asking for cell phones yet? We do an egg hunt at my mom's, so they get plenty of candy there; we just usually look at something outdoorsy for them, like bubbles or jump ropes or sidewalk chalk, in lieu of the coming warm months! :sohappy:
DH and I are going to start looking for someone to replace our deck (a.k.a the Skunk Den of Love) this week, so I guess that's our Easter gift to each other  !

Since I have to get them swimsuits anyway for the yr I thought this way I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. It has worked so far.

:sohappy: for a new deck. We are looking for a new carport. I want one but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on it even though I want a real good one. That is my Disney money we are going to be spending.:lookaroun

GRRRR. My computer's being stupid today. :fork:

We did the living room beige w/ a sage green accent wall...although now that they're up the colors look SO much closer to the same. :brick: Oh well. We used the same green in the kitchen which looks nice w/ the cabinets. Bathroom is a bluish-grey. By the time we got to the bedroom & office, we were exhausted so we just painted the accent walls in there. Bedroom is a steel/slate blue & office is granite.
I'll have to post before/after pics. :)

Sorry... I got booted earlier. LOL

Those sound great though! I love your color scheme... can't wait to see the pics!!!

Hey Jess, when (and if) you see this, if possible could you ask Dana where she was on Sat? Because she had said she was going to try to call and didn't. So I am just currious.
Hey sweetie!
I'm sure she just got caught up with maggie and drew... I know in all the excitement i got caught up and forgot to call people a few times.

I had an interesting weekend!!

On Friday I went out with what's his face's friends to Hooters...and brought my best friend with me. (I wanted her to get to know one of what's his face's friends whom I think she would mesh well with.) So after that we went to the casino and sat at the bar...and they started chatting and I see a possible love connection in the making!!! (Plus, I got to stay up past my old curfew! I was out til 3:00 a.m.!!!)

Then Saturday I went out to dinner with what's his face's uncle and little cousins who were in town from North Carolina...then after that I got pulled over by a cop for speeding...but talked my way out of the ticket. Then I bought my dad a birthday present since his birthday's today.

Then yesterday I went to the mall with my friend and then came over to my parents house and had dinner for my dad's birthday.

It was a busy weekend...but a good one.

Yay for a fun weekend! :sohappy:

I don't know to much about mp3 players. So that might be something to look at. Thanks.

Limited Too has an inexpensive disney line of MP3 players... might be worth looking at! :)

Great Idea Susie!
