MJ's Lucky Charms

I had an interesting weekend!!

On Friday I went out with what's his face's friends to Hooters...and brought my best friend with me. (I wanted her to get to know one of what's his face's friends whom I think she would mesh well with.) So after that we went to the casino and sat at the bar...and they started chatting and I see a possible love connection in the making!!! (Plus, I got to stay up past my old curfew! I was out til 3:00 a.m.!!!)

:sohappy: for the possible love connection and getting to stay up late.

Then Saturday I went out to dinner with what's his face's uncle and little cousins who were in town from North Carolina...then after that I got pulled over by a cop for speeding...but talked my way out of the ticket. Then I bought my dad a birthday present since his birthday's today.

At least you got to talk out of that one. :sohappy: Tickets are not good to have to pay.:zipit:

Then yesterday I went to the mall with my friend and then came over to my parents house and had dinner for my dad's birthday.

It was a busy weekend...but a good one.

Sounds like you did have a busy weekend.

No one's here. . .
But I'm going to talk anyway.

The party turned out very nicely after all. Thank God.
My sister was totally surprised and so grateful to have all the people she loved together in one place.
I was grateful to have my little family. . .all 6 of us. . .together, at the same table. . .just us. We had the best time and laughed tons more than all the other tables combined!
It could have been a total disaster, but it wasn't. And I'm just so glad.
Thanks everyone, for getting me through the rough spots!

I was just catching up and wanted to say Dot I"m so glad everything turned out ok.

Hoe did your shopping go Susan?

I didn't get anything yet. Still looking. I want to get her a CD player so she can listen to her own music when she wants. But I don't know whether to get her a real good one or just a cheap one, She doesn't take care of things that well so I am thinking a cheap one. Any ideas anyone???????

I picked up a $10 one for DS the other day at Wal Mart - it works well.
I'd get the cheap one and see how she does with it.

Just try to get one with anti skip.

Or...I don't know how cheap you could get a mp3 player for...not an i-pod...just an mp3 player...but since that's the wave of the future...that might be an option...if reasonable enough

You can get a basic CD player for about $10-20 at Walmart. If she likes to dance to her music while she listens, make sure you get one that won't skip when it's bumped. Walmart should have them.
BTW, I get what you're saying about not knowing what to get your DD. Abby will be 10 in May, and is starting to think about nail polish and her hair and clothes...sigh.....but she was very excited when I came home Saturday with Pocahontas and Mulan dolls for her!

I don't know to much about mp3 players. So that might be something to look at. Thanks.

The youngest of the 3 I used to take care of just turned 10, but she still loves to play with her plastic horses.
