Our deck project may be starting as early as next Wednesday. Our landscaper is hoping to get in touch with the utility people to come out and mark where our electric and cable lines are. I'm somewhat afraid of what they might find when they rip the deck off (more critters?? :lookaroun ). Then they have to dig a trench for rerouting a drain pipe, which they will have to do by hand because of the overhead roof.

Another big project!

 Hi guys...

Bunny that is soooo awful. I just cannot believe that SOMEBODY isn't responsible for that mess! Whoever did the job the first time botched it - and they shouldn't be able to pin that on you guys! Either in your Disclosure when you closed on the house (if it was the previous owners) Or the builders (if they're relatively new) but there's not a court system in the US that would hold you guys liable for that mess sweetie!

I am so sorry! ((hugs)) That just STINKS. (And drywalling the brick?! Good Lord! What's your stairs made out of? Egg Noodles?!) Those builders need to have their head examined!

Exactly what I thought! Our previous home was a brand new build, but we had problems with the kids' bathroom with water dripping into the basement underneath. Our plumber had to take out of piece of drywall on the other side (which was our dining room). He found a HOLE in the drain pipe that they think was caused when they were soldering (sp?) the copper pipe, and whoever did that stuffed INSULATION in the hole. So everytime the tub would fill up beyond a certain level, the dripping in the basement would start.

We didn't pursue it legally, as we were preparing to sell the house. But you better believe we put it in the disclosure agreement. :(

EDIT: Oops, forgot to say Hi Jess!

Sigh...

I'm sorry I'm in and out today... just got so much going on that I can't stay and talk for long periods of time...

I'm at my wits end. It feels like my entire house is ripped up... I'm already hormonal, it's not going to take much more to make me burst into tears..:(
