Quite a stigma when I was growing up.
I was taught by nuns and you had to hold your pencil a certain way. Never mind what worked best for you! :hammeroor left-handed kids didn't stand a chance against those nuns!

I just got part of the art books I sent for - one of them is Georgia O'Keefe - my pottery teacher said my work makes him think of her - although she was a painter. She took the beauty of nature and magnified it. I love things that are organic and simple, so her work speaks to me.
I need to visit an art museum....sigh.....
