MJ's Birthday Blessings!

Well, it IS his family, so it wasn't nearly as bad for him as it was for me. I'm just not used to giving up my independance. 2 hours of "what do you want to do today?" every day really got old. Plus his brother can really rub me the wrong way sometimes, and his Mom got y that I'm not naming the kid Marc if it's a boy - thus destroying 1000+ years of family tradition.

Even Marc admitted that we need another vacation, and that this wasn't terribly relaxing.
I totally understand you not wanting to name the baby Marc. Dave and I fought about that through most of the pregnancy. I did not want my son to be called "Davey" or "Little Dave" for his whole life. I lost that battle, but we now have Dave and David to distinguish them. If I had my druthers, he would have been Alex.

Yay Bonny switched too!!!!

:D

I am sooo sorry abot all of this. We love you Bonny and we hope things work out for ya'll.

Thanks.... I just wish for a little while life would go easier for us...

You're the mom, and you know best. But honestly she wasn't that bad. My nephew had a few meltdowns that were worse last week.

Thanks, I was so worried about ruining your one day at the parks

And why in my right mind would I tell you my dream! It was horrible, and I didn't want you to think about it. It's just a dream. No worries. :)

Ooooookay.....

Poor baby with the tests... and poor car. Does this mean a new one?

I'm not sure yet, that will be up to his father and we will owe him a boatload of $$ either way....

How close do the in-laws live to you? My SIL is having issues with her MIL right now, because they live so far apart all of the soon to be grandparents arrived the day before the baby was due. The MIL has a lot of "lovely ideas" about how the new baby should be taken care of. Luckily for my SIL she leaves tonight and who knows when she will see her again.

About 5 minutes, give or take if you hit the green lights... My mom's only 10 minutes away though... I don't want to live too far from my mom, and the house we bought just happened to be slightly closer to them.

The "tradition" is that every guy has to name his firstborn son after himself... which I don't get at all. It's not just a Jr, the second, third thing... there are already 4 people named Tom in his immediate family, we don't need 2 Marc's... Just because I married into the family and took the last name, doesn't mean I have to name my kid in the "tradition." That was SO not part of the deal.

but it might not matter anyways...:lookaroun

Hmmmm....That could be a good thing or a bad thing. At least they won't have to be at your house 24 hours a day, like my SIL had to endure, but it does probably mean frequent visits.

Bonny I know things are tight right now but turn it over and let God take care of it all. I Know it is hard to do. But it will be worth it in the end.:sohappy:

Now to take my own advice.

Oh, Bonny, I'm sorry about the testing. Why couldn't she be sedated for it?
I'm also sorry about the car - keep us posted!
I gave her Clonodine and she was knocked out, but the second the nurse moved her into the Xray room she woke up and screamed bloody murder....she's had so much bad experience at hospitals they really terrify her...

BTW, Bonny, did you see The View today? They devoted the whole hour to autism. Toni Braxton was guest host; she just discovered last fall her 3 1/2 year old son is on the spectrum. I usually don't watch this show (can't stand Rosie), but I taped this one.

I only got to see the last 10 minutes...if anyone taped it can I borrow the tape? Pretty please?

I was looking through some old tapes yesterday, and found a Jane Pauley program I had taped about Asperger's. It was very interesting!

That sounds interesting, It'd be interesting to see how much of the info is still valid..

We have Bob and Bobby.

We have Andy and Andrew

Sorry to hear about your troubles Bonny. *Hugs*

I know how you feel....sometimes I feel like nothing goes the right way. I am getting ready to start studying for my boards again, and I am terrified!

I keep telling myself that at some point things have to get better.

So what kind of testing did MJ have this morning?

I'll work on that...

Thanks.... *I Hus Wu*

Frankly I'll be happy with ANYTHING. Really. After all the issues we had, I'll be happy to just see this to the end with a healthy kiddo.

But one day I would like a girl... otherwise I saved all my My Little Ponies for nothing.. :lookaroun

You need ot have a girl...someone needs to inherit MJ's baby clothes....

My mom sold all of my My Little Ponies at a yard sale without telling me before she did it :(

My SIL told me the other day that she just can't picture us with a boy... Plus Marc would make the world's BEST dad to a little girl. You've seen it with your own eyes!

Blashplemy! The horrors! Every time I see one at a yard sale, I must pick one up... the old ones mind you. I don't care for the new ones much.

I saw the first 15 minutes, then the last 10, but I taped most of it. Did you get to see Temple Grandin?

We chose Bible names for both our kids...Abigail Grace and Joel Michael.

I always loved the name Abbie, but Dave wouldn't hear of it. Joel is a nice strong name too - I like those kind of names!
