Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
Probable Spina Bifida
S curve scoliosis
Allergy to corn

Right Cerebral Cortex Polymicrogyria and Pachgyria (brain damage)
(encompassed in this type of brain damamge are:)
Left sided Cerbral Palsy
Classic Hypersocial Autism
Feeding issues (she is entirely g-tube dependent and has a fundoplications [part of her tummy is stapled around her esophagus])
Vision issues
Sensory Integration Disorder
Hearing issues (auditory processing disorder)
possible mental retardation (we don't know yet)
not potty trained (and won't be)
Epilepsy

(I think that is all)

She is developmentally around 2.5 (brilliant at some things, but can't do simple things to save her life.) and the neatest kid I have ever met.....

She was one day away from being dumped in Foster Care when we met the birthmother and told her we wanted to adopt her when she was born.

We wanted a Special Needs kid, but had no idea it would be soooo complicated. I'm glad we didn't know ahead of time, we might not have done it and I would have missed out on my calling in lofe.

Coffee and a Medical Dictionary, I can't even say some of those.
Well, special needs call for extraordinary people. I do not know you that well, but if you are willing to take this on, well, God, must of looked down in favor on you and said, yeah, she's equipped, she's the one I need for MJ. Was her birth mother going to give her up?

Nibbles started a tradition a few threads back, that 'snot' must be included on the first page.
I think it started with her asking about her snot color while sick, but now we just talk about snot for the fun of it on the first page. :lol:

The state was taking her away, she could either let the lawyer at the maternity home help her find someone or she would go into Foster Care....
