It's alright. I have to work all day today...from 10:30 am to about 10:00pm with only a 1 hr break in between. Now I've got nothing to do at work...so it's going to be a long 4 hrs here at this job.

I saw two good movies this weekend though! The Pursuit of Happyness and Freedom Writers.

Edit...and that snow that was supposed to come in and drop like 4-6 inches only dropped like 2-3...big disappointment. I could have gone to the lake after all. :(

How was The Pursuit of Happiness? I don't know if I remember anything about Freedom Writers.

I just got off the phone telling DD the good news, and now DS wants to get on line to tell all his friends, so I guess I better let him. I'll try to get back on later, but I can't guarantee anything. :wave:

The Pursuit of Happyness was good...although I felt like it was long while we were sitting in the theaters...turns out it was the length of a normal movie. I guess it felt long because bad things just keep happening and you're like....when are things gonna get Happy??? :lol: But it was very good.

Freedom Writers is that movie with Hilary Swank where she's a teacher and she has to teach at this school where gang violence is prevelant. It's how she transforms the class from a group of miscreants to a group of fine upstanding citizens. It was very good too.

Now I remember. I will most likely wait until they come out on video because DH won't take me to these kind of movies. It is not for our young DDs or not manly enough for him. :rolleyes:

I didn't cry...I thought it was a touching movie though. But I mean...I just kept thinking...my god...how much worse can his life get and then it gets worse. And then something semi-good happens...but that just seems to make things worse in the long run too. :lol: And the sad thing is that it's a true story...so all these bad things actually happened to someone. Sure his life turned out fine in the end...but good grief!

See, I didn't think what's his face would like those types of movies either. But those aren't really girly movies...those are movies that make you think about life. He actually really enjoyed them...and I know he did not really have a clue what he was getting into with Freedom Writers. But if your DH needs reassurance, just have him ask me. They are definitely not girly...they have heart, but they are in no means girly.
