You're not crazy for wanting one... it'll be the most amazing experience of your life. Having a baby is incredible, life changing and something to be dreamed about...

I just try and pass along a healthy dose of reality along with all the cuddles, and coos, sleepy kisses and soft blankies... ;)
Trust me...I need that healthy dose every once in a while!

I do get those urges, especially ever since I got married, but I know I am in no way ready for that kind of responsiblity at this point in time.

I'm still in the stage where I like to be around kids, but then when things start to go south...hand them back to mommy.

I think it will be a good long while before I have kids because of the combination of the fact that I'm simply not ready and because I don't like icky things (ie...puke, pooh, etc...I'm never gonna be able to have a kid at this rate! )

People can romanticize having a baby, and it's a wonderful thing having that little bundle of joy. BUT this is a separate little person with a mind of their own, and sometimes what mommy and daddy want him/her to do just isn't something they want to comply with! Kids also have this knack of waking up with the stomach flu, or ear infection, at 2 a.m....however, in the end it is soooo worth it. You'll have kids when you're ready, Nibbs, and we'll all be jumping up and down for joy when that happens!

Fair enough...

Are you implying something for those of us who are not so much as one?

Absolutely not. Just sharing my perspective on the one's who are more attatched. I've told you a thousand times before that you already treat the ladies (Dot in paticular) with alot of respect and that's shown me a million times over that you'll be a great DH and Daddy someday. Soooo No. The answer is not in the least. :)

So Nibbs.......about that name?

 He did put up alot today nibbs.

I personally think you will be a great Husband/father and will treat a lady wonderfully..
:)
*Im being serious and not trying to get on his good side this time*

So usually when you stick up for him it's for ulterior motives? Now we know.

Well, at least someone's on the good side...

Psht.

It's an amazing experience for sure, but be sure that you're ready for it. You have plenty of time yet, and you'll know when you're ready!

True true. It'll get to the point where you can't WAIT to have one... and look forward every day to hearing the doctor say You're Pregnant!!! :)

You'd be AMAZED what you learn to tolerate - you can handle what comes out of your kid more than anyone else's! And then you compare notes with other moms

Yeah...I understand that. My mom used to be a dental hygenist, so she was used to all kinds of gross things.

I however am a little OCD about germs and other things touching my hands. Ex. I absolutely hate to touch things like soda. So I don't know how I'd handle something that was considered "icky"
