 Here for a few.

So, yesterday when the news broke of the tornadoes, I'd thought the area "The Villages" sounded familiar. Our best friends' parents just bought a house in Florida in that area a couple months ago. They don't live there yet but have been going back & forth alot getting it ready. We found out last night that I was right and that IS the community it's in. :( The good thing is that they weren't there. But they're still waiting to hear about their home. :veryconfu

As I understand it Stephanie, the Villages is quite big, and only certain parts of it were hit, so don't give up hope. The pictures from there are pretty grim though.

Yeah, it's huge...they said 500 homes were damaged. But growing up in the middle of tornado alley I know that tornadoes can destroy one house and leave the one next to it completely untouched so there is hope.
When I was 4, 7 tornadoes came through our town at once...destroyed alot of the town. The house 2 doors down from us was gone, and we just had some minor hail damage. I was so young and I still remember every single detail...scary stuff tornadoes. :(

I didn't hear what cat. It must've been a doozy though; they said that the church at Lady Lake that was destroyed was built to withstand winds up to 150 mph.

Oh, and Betty, I'm sorry about your puppy. :( It's so hard when our pets grow old..

My parents place was hit by a tornado yrs ago. It really just skirted their place but it was scarey. They weren't living there yet. They did have a cabin there to stay in. But that was a cat 5. We seen barkless trees that weekend. They live in the country so not many people were affected.
