she did pretty good - considering she had a head cold and only slept about 6 hours total in 3 days... ;)

Actually - the drive was fine - no major meltdowns, we did manage to make it to Epcot for a couple hours - so that was good too... got her first pair of ears... :)

All in all - we just have to get back on a schedule now - it's been a long couple of days.. fun... but long... I'm looking forward to our big trip next month. This was just kind of a tease... :)

:sohappy:

Birthdays in the World are awesome. But I still can't convince DH to wear the button. He doesn't really care about all the attention.

George's birthday is May 15th.
We've never been to WDW for either of our birthdays but we do go for our anniversary. This past year, we wore the pins which I decorated a little by adding the number of years we have been married. It was big fun! We got lots of attention from CMs. So many happy wishes! It was a really special day!

I LOVED my birthday in the world. That was one of the best trips I've ever taken, and I want DH to have a great time too. Of course, for him, that might mean that he wants to sleep till noon, and then spend the afternoon playing around on his computer.

Oh he needs to be converted!
George is a total WDW maniac!
With us, it's up bright and early, at the parks as they open, and out until they close! We come back to the hotel totally exhausted every night, but that's us! We love the place!

Actually, his family is really into Disney. Both his parents and his brother and sister-in-law are DVC members. (They want us to join too, but we don't have the cash for that right now.)

But his job leaves him really stressed, and his idea of a vacation is sleeping and eating. Me, on the other hand, wonders why we even have to sleep -there's fun at the parks to be had!

My DH is a combination of the two of yours... we are going on our family trip from April 30-May 7 - Dh asked me to book our trip a few days ahead of everyone else's so he could have a few days to unwind (sleep in, swim, relax) before all the craziness of the parks... He loves the parks - but he needs a relaxing vacation too! :)

Remind me again, where are you guys staying?

We'll be at the dolphin for 3 nights and then the All Star Music for the other 7... :)

I wanted to stay in the All Stars again, but DH insisted on something nicer. He's spoiled from all his families' DVC trips where they have villas. Going from a 3 bedroom at the Boardwalk or Saratoga to the tiny rooms at Movies was quite a rude awakening for him.

Speaking of poems:

How about this one? (I agree, "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood" is nice but a little cliche.)
I liked it a lot in high school. And now that I'm...let's just say...quite older, it's still interesting.

BTW--the Cavern is the nightclub where the Beatles got their start...

Let me Die a Young Man's Death
Roger McGough 1937-

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let me die a young man's death
not a clean and inbetween
the sheets holywater death
not a famous-last-words
peaceful out of breath death

When I'm 73
and in constant good tumour
may I be mown down at dawn
by a bright red sports car
on my way home
from an allnight party

Or when I'm 91
with silver hair
and sitting in a barber's chair
may rival gangsters
with hamfisted tommyguns
burst in and give me a short back and insides

Or when I'm 104
and banned from the Cavern
may my mistress
catching me in bed with her daughter
and fearing for her son
cut me up into little pieces
and throw away every piece but one

Let me die a young man's death
not a free from sin tiptoe in
candle wax and waning death
not a curtains drawn by angels borne
'what a nice way to go' death

Yeah - I'm sure going from the Heavenly beds at the Dolphin down to the Music is going to be quite an adjustment for us too! :) But... thanks to a sweetie pie friend of mine - who bumped us up to a great room! I'll think we'll just have to enjoy being spoiled for a couple days... ;)

Wow - just reading this is getting me excited about going again!

and we'll be celebrating my birthday (May1st) and DH's (May 14th)

We're definitely going to need a May birthday thread!

She is driving me crazy this morning... she's so off her schedule right now... grrr... so far my usually non-crying little girl has sobbed over everything from dropping her bottle to spitting up... i'd say she needs a nap - but she just woke up a little bit ago...

Don't let her kid you - she's just preparing you for her teen-age years!
