And now we all reap the consequences:
Friendships with people thousands of miles (sometimes less  ) away, a place to just be us, and an care for one another than we never would have thought would happen.

Yep. :)

Finally read the rest of last night's posts. I can't agree with you guys more. I never would have pictured myself talking to total strangers on the internet, but this really feels like home to me, and I look forward to the time I can spend here. DH doesn't quite get it, but he tolerates my obsessions.

Good Night... and Good Morning, in advance, because chances are I when I wake up it won't be morning anymore. :lookaroun

Better sleep while you can, Connor.
Once they install the stadium lighting out back, it might be difficult.

Absolutely the same here.
I think George is afraid to read what I post.
I think he's sure he'll find I'm really a demented maniac.
I try to explain it, but I don't think he really gets it.
But for me it's a chance to be more like him.
He's so outgoing and completely unintimidated.
Here, I'm more like that than I could ever be in the real world.

Dave is the same way - (sometimes to the point of embarrassment), while I'm pretty reserved 'til I really get to know people.

Before you know it they'll have Connor at their beck-and-call:
"Lowly neighbor, fetch me some of that Wawa chocolate milk, will you."

Connor:
"Yes Mighty Orphans, whatever you ask."
"Will you be wanting a Tastykake with that?"

Same again, Betty!
(Could there be another George!) *gasp*
George will talk to anybody about anything.
He loves confrontation.
I will go to any lengths to avoid it.

Gee- Dave does have relatives in the Philly area (Broomall and Newtown Square) - maybe they're long-lost cousins or something!

I could imagine the talk-a-thon if those two got together!
Put them in the Magic Kingodm, with a meal plan, and they'd forget all about us.
"Wives? What wives?"
"Oh yeah, I think we have a couple of those around here somewhere."

Meal plan? All it would take for Dave is a turkey leg!

Same here! It was weird when we took him to a meet! He ended up spending time with Brad and a few others and decided that everyone here isn't a weirdo. :lookaroun

We met up with SpongeScott & his wife last summer and had a great time at a Devil Ray's game...we are hoping to go again this year if we can squeeze it in.

funny how things draw people together.

Gotta run, but I hope to make it back a little later... need to take care of those pesky roots. :lookaroun

I was so nervous about coming on, and actually chatting with you all. It was so much easier to lurk, and look in from outside, and not worry "What if they don't like me?" "What if I come off as just annoying?" I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but I'm so glad to be here!
:sohappy:

I'm not the type to really talk to people much in real life - my DH is, but I'm on the shy side. But on here I'm working on being a bit more outgoing.

And lastly:

My Polish Babci (grandmom) used to make the best red beet soup (borscht).
Gosh, I miss that!

My grandmother made the best borsht. My mom learned the recipe, and now I think one day coming up I'm going to tackle making a batch for myself. You guys made me so hungry with all that food talk last night!
