Yes, but the characters and other Disney logos, etc. are copyrighted, patened, etc.

I don't know too much about the Mission: Space Project, but unless Disney has taken out a patent on the ride, they don't have the right to take away your film. It's not their design to say "you can't take a picture''...

Who said we can't take a picture? MKTiggerman's quote didn't have to apply to the M:S project. In general, it might apply to the general area of Central Shops. We just piecing together the wrong puzzle. We should look at what the pods are. Did they have enough room for CAVE? How big were they? Did they look like the old Horizions vehicles, etc.

to whom ever the poor person is that MAY leak the first pics they will have a huge problem on their hands. If such pictures showed up on this site I feel Disney would close it for good. I mean I try to sneak Great shots of anything Disney, and the construction shots I have posted as well as others is no BIG deal BUT to actually produce pictures of the rides vehicles themselves would be crazy. Thats why I stress anyone who does get shots out BETTER keep it private in the distrobution

If you snapped a picture while the truck was on the highway, then I don't see why it would be illegal to post (however I still wouldn't do it) but if you snapped a picture near the central shop then that would be illegal seeing that the public is really not allowed back there. Sorry, but I'm going to have to accuse tiggerman of some power-tripping. Disney has no legal recourse regarding photos that are taken of a ride car. Yes, it is intellectual property; as such, Disney has patented the property so that competition may not use it in its current form. Furthermore, Disney thrives on the very type of hype that spreads through these websites. We are all advertising for Disney. A photo would only intensify the hype.

If you are in a non-restricted area of the park, click away. The world is your photo-op. Just refrain from snooping.

IF they find you sharing pics back there..they DO get mad. Disney is private property and as part of the agreement in being a CM is you follow THEIR rules...one of which is you dont take backstage pics.

If it were "accepted"...dont you think there would be a LOT more pics of that sort of thing on the net?

Yes we are advertising in some way BUT as an example Microsoft does not allow people to download beta builds of their new software for public use when it is still in private testing. IT DOES HAPPEN though but MS then sends nasty little letters. I think Tiggerman is right. Disney will bring the smack down if something like this showed up on the net. Same way George Lucas does when photos get leaked etc.

True you can BUT Disney understands that I mean They cant put up a huge wall in front of the Mission: Space Construction site to block everyone from seeing it.

Bottom line I would love to see what this new system looks like BUT again I can not stress enough IF photos are taken they need to stay private until such time that Mission:Space opens. I would imagine that once the inside walk through that is suppose to open first you will see what the system is gonna look like or atleast have some very clear understanding...or Disney could keep us guessing

I think some of you are largely overestimating the value of the exterior of the ride vehicles for this attraction. More than likely they wouldn't look like a lot more than a fiberglass shell that might suggest how many people it would hold and by what orientation it would connect to the main ride system (ie, top, side, bottom) Other than that, I doubt this would be a major leak to competition. Disney is also in the habit of patenting all these kinds of things. The design of the 3-D glasses in "It's tough to be a bug" hold a valid patent, for instance. If you were in a public area and saw them, I doubt that disney could or would do much of anything. The loss on their part for something like that would be minimal. If shots were gotten of the mechanical workings of the actual ride system or the interior of these vehicles (if they had anything in then which seems unlikely because of possible damage during transport) they might be a little more concerned but even then, if it was taken in a public place, I doubt you would get much of a "smack down" from Disney. Pictures taken in private areas are another story....

..is that it was purchased from ETC. It's a modified high capacity, low G-force version of their G-FET G-force trainer. This web page has a few more details and contact information: if you (or a computer manufacturer of your acquaintance) have the spare change, you can set one up in your backyard.

It's Disney's decoration of the passenger pods that you won't be able to emulate, quite yet.

...this is not the first time Disney has bought from ETC... the CyberSpace Mountain simulators are specially programmed ETC products.

Of corse the amount of G's Exerted on you will be different as to not make you pass out and I also know they are using a special Sub-Woofer to give a vibration or a roar in the cabin.
