Sorry if i missed this through my search... i was at Animal Kingdom yesterday and i noticed that the normal quartet was missing the "princess" character who sings the duet of Can you feel the Love Tonight.

Was this just a one time thing? or is this the way it is from now on... i'm in the midst of uploading a video now.. i'll post it ASAP

Wow. I've never seen that happen before (though that's not to say it hasn't). I must say, though- he sounded good singing it by himself.

Missing characters happen...

I've seen the show without the bird-girl...the guy (bird-handler) just dances around the stage.
I've seen the show without the bird-girl flying...she just dances with the guy (problem with the rope? Haven't worked the flying sequence together?)

One time I saw the show without the bass older male. . . seemed seemless enough, though, without him and if I hadn't known the show so well, I would never have noticed.

Uhhhhh People call in sick. These things happen. The show must go on.

Why you gotta be rude about it, Dave? The original poster was simply pointing out something about their Disney experience much like anyone else who posts the frequent and trivial (but loved by all - me included) updates about things like new vending carts and different color paint jobs on handrails around the World. Ease up.

Didn't appear to me Dave was being rude.

Yes, but what is surprising about this is that these are Equity performers in this show. Equity rules dictate that there must be paid understudies for principal roles in Equity productions. I'm very curious as to why there wasn't someone else who could have stepped in.

sorry about the confusion with "missing girl"... i didn't know how else to state it.

How's about " Missing Girl at Festival of the Lion King but it wasn't a young child who went missing or was possibly kidnapped etc... so no one be alarmed about that."

I think that's pretty short and concise :lookaroun

Or "Cast member missing from show"

I've seen 3 (only) principal singers before. I've seen the "bird girl" without a partner.
As stated before this is a live performance, anything can (and will) happen, and the job of the AEA actors is to make sure the first time viewers don't really know something is different.
