Okay, so here is some more information that I just heard.

"Pumpin' up the Party" is still the opening travel music, but it will change a bit (again, all of the "celebrate" stuff is removed) and the dance breaks will be different.

The floats will be stopping in different locations, and the characters are changing spots.

Terk and Timon are being added in.

Saturday... (my husband and daughter are going -- I'll post pictures)

Are they changing anything about the exit loop? I actually really like the Celebrate You song, even though the campaign has ended, I don't see too much of a problem with it still being used.

I was sad when I saw it in August, they had technical issues before the parade came out. I remember the number of dancers was very low aswell and then they cut a good portion of the dancing in the street part. I think the area where the confetti stuff comes out on one of the floats wasn't working because it never went off and their was some hanging from it. Overall I love Move it! Shake It! and I think whenever I go my family all enjoy it and none of us are kids the youngest age is 18. It's something they should keep because it makes me feel like a big kid and bring on some fresh changes as long as they are good ones I am happy.

Yeah, July and August were really hot and humid this year (okay, every year!) and when the temp on the street at the hub exceeds a particular degree (85 F?) they call a "heat show" which means they cut the conga. Then if the temp exceeds a second level (90F?) they shorten it even more by cutting the "Breakout" pompom section and already have the characters out of the box at the start of the show. Yes, it can be upsetting to not get the full show, but they do what they need to do to try to keep the cast members and the guests safe -- I have seen too many guests go down from the heat in the summer months. I have also known performers who danced holes in their shoes on the hot pavement!

The boxes can be quite temperamental as well. I have seen boxes that stop and refuse to move (while the dancers continue to smile and dance in front of it!) and I have seen boxes (usually the Mad Hatter's) where the platform that raises the character to the top refuses to cooperate. That is when the MC says "It's the Cheshire Cat!" instead of "It's the Mad Hatter!" because he is invisible
Oh, and the streamers are always hit and miss -- sometimes due to weather or crowds or other reasons they just don't load the cannons -- and sometimes the cannons just don't have the umpf!

As for your second statement, this show makes me feel like a kid again too-- not just because my daughter loves it so, but just because there is a lot of joy and fun behind it! I know there are those out there that don't like this show due to going against the theme of Main Street and the Castle and that don't like the music -- and the first time I saw it I felt the same way. But the joy is infectious!

I haven't heard anything specific about the exit loop, and while I love the "Celebrate You" and "Time of Your Life" songs (one of the MCs refers to "Time of Your Life" as Disney's version of Free Bird! ) I have a feeling that they may be replaced -- at least Celebrate You since they are getting rid of the Celebrate theme.
*sigh* now if only we could get a change in Celebrate a Dream Come True...

Haha I completely agree with you about the safety of the performer especially in the crazy Florida summer especially because this summer for most of my stay the temperature was sitting like 97 degrees and way into the hundreds with humidity. Which in itself is hard to walk in never mind performing so I can totally agree with them doing that. Safety of everyone is key whether they are performers or guests. I remember when I first saw it I was intrigued as to what it was and then when I was their on Christmas Day last year it made me love it just because the MC screamed it's Christmas Day and everyone went crazy and the atmosphere was amazing. I think the amount of times I have seen it on the trips I have been I can do the dance moves by heart and sing. Clearly shows when you have seen something plenty of times when it becomes second nature to sing along. However keeping the pumpin up the party is best for me cause whenever I hear that if I am in a shop I run out or briskly walk just to see it again.:ROFLOL:

I wasn't there (had to take my theatre kids to a competition) but my daughter and husband went. Hubby took video and I will post it as soon as I can.
My daughter really liked the new additions and that is a relief since she is such a HUGE fan of the show. :ROFLOL: She says that really nothing was taken out, just stuff added in, but I can only get bits and peices out of her at a time! So it might be a bit before I get the whole story. I will post back in a bit after I get video uploaded (don't know how great it will be -- it is from hubby's phone) and will give you the full report -- from the eyes of a 9 year old!

:sohappy: Here is the video of the new opening travel music -- from what I see there really wasn't much taken out of the music with the exception of "Celebrate, Celebrate YEAH!" but there was some new dance breaks added in. You can see my daughter looking confused with the new choreography since she doesn't know what to do :ROFLOL:

Sorry the video and audio quality is really bad -- my husband took it on his phone and it is designed for email and business calendars, not taking video of parades! Maybe Santa will bring me a new video camera for Christmas!

As far as the changes go -- The MC float stops right in front of the castle, Mad Hatter's float (green with teal bow) stops at the walkway to Fantasyland/Tea Cups (it used to stop right in front of the overhang where the water fountains are), All of the other floats stop in pretty much the same place as always-- at the pathways to Tomorrowland (Genie) Adventureland (Sebastian) and Liberty Square (Lumiere). This leaves an opening going to Main Street from the hub once the parade comes to a stop.

The characters on the floats have been shuffled around too. Mickey and Minnie are still on the MC float, but Chip & Dale have joined them instead of Donald and Goofy. Baloo and King Louie are on the front of Mad Hatter's float and Timon is on the back. Mr. Incredible and FroZone are still on Genie's Float in the front and Donald is on the back. Goofy is all by himself on Sebastian's float. Woody and Jessie are still on the front of Lumiere's float and Terk is on the back.

They also switched out the streamers that shoot out of the air cannons at the end with large Mickey shaped confetti.

Other than that, my daughter says that there were not any other changes -- everything in the actual street party was the same and the end travel music was the same. And here I guessed that the end travel music would be what they changed and they would also take out the "raise your hands to find out what you are celebrating" section. Oh well, I guessed wrong! ;)

 You are most welcome -- I might not know much about the other things going on at Magic Kingdom, but my daughter makes it a point to make me find out everything going on with MiSiCi! :ROFLOL:

Hmmm I like the new wee dance break part it's pretty catchy however as you said they still have the references to celebrate you in it.

However I think that's the most enthusiastic I have seen those dancers in a while no wonder I would be happy with a bit of new choreography

ehh I'm not a huge fan of the way the song sounds now, but we'll still enjoy it just the same!
jjnshane - your dd is so cute dancing along! Mine is also asking me to make her an outfit like the dancers wear in the parade, but she wants the other version (short sleeved and party hat) because when we were there last time they never even had the girls in the costume like your little one has....I guess we got a really watered down version that day!

Yeah, I am not sure that I like the song just yet -- but I haven't seen it in person yet, just through hubby's video. I have also heard from cast members that the music was too loud this day so it sounds really distorted.

:) Thank you so much -- most Sundays there are three other girls that visit the park and they each have a different costume that they made so with Savannah they have the whole set!

I can tell you how they made them!

The red costumes were pulled from the party in July due to serious sun fading (they were no longer red -- more like a dark pink) and didn't reappear until late October. You must have last been here sometime in that time period. :)

I'd love any sewing tips! We actually bought fabric for it yesterday - she wants the teal/purple/white combo. The fringey parts don't look fun to make, lol.
We were there last in mid October.
