I find the defense of this to be hilarious.

It appears from the prosecution's statement that the defense made a claim that it was just a mouse:

"It doesn't matter she was grabbed. She's just a mouse," prosecutor David Bear said, arguing against the defense. "It's not just a mouse. It's a person."

And it also appears that having fun is a viable defense:


Moyer's attorney argued that the photos only prove his client was having fun while on vacation from Pennsylvania with his family.

I can't help but wonder why all character meets are not held in an area that has security cameras recording the activity? Seems like that would be protection for cast and guests alike in case of any accusations?

Thats pretty bad right there. Your name age, address, and the crime you committed is out there on these watchdog websites. And also, IMHO, a "real" man (or woman) who is comfortable with who they are doesn't need to be groping anyone, let alone a giant mouse, to prove anything. The gender of those involved is irrelevant.

I agree with this, especially when you hear stories of women groping/pinching Mr. Incredible or Tarzan. Regardless of what gender you are, poor behavior of this kind should be frowned upon. Let's hope nobody will try to bad mouth gay days or gay people just because the incident happened on that day.

Isn't this why the characters now have "handlers"? I remember years (and years) ago, characters pretty much just walked around on their own and were left to their own devices. In particular, I remember back in 1980 I was a senior in High School. I wanted a picture with Pooh who was headed back stage (through a door in Fantasyland... where Philharmagic is now). We begged him (her?) to take a picture with us, and s/he was half way in the door and begrudgingly took a pic with us. (Looking back, I'm sorry I made you take that picture, Pooh!!!)

My point, though, is Poor Pooh didn't have any handler with him which would have resolved this situation very easily.
