Minnie Mouse groped

Its a sad state of affairs and a poor reflection of todays society. First kids being groped by adults in wave pools. Now a young woman employed by Disney to make kids dreams come true. I hope the b*st*ard is castrated

Its shocking how naive you folks are when it comes to this. This happens all the time, its just not reported.

Yup. I could tell stories of characters being assaulted. Like when a group decided to throw Minnie Mouse into the water at a certain special event.

Yeah there are certainly some stories that don't make the news that have seriously put the characters in real danger.

So - where's the deterrent ? Looks like you get off pretty lightly if committing sexual assaults in Florida
I think a couple days in jail would deter the average person from trying something like this again.

My view on this is that the guy did something rude and abusive, but it doesn't rise to the level of sexual assault. If he has any sense, he'll count his blessings that he didn't get the maximum (a year in jail and $1,000 fine) and keep his hands to himself from now on.

Exactly. The publicity wrecks his relationships with his family and friends. That's more of a deterrent than 2 days or even 2 months in jail.

But if this man at age 60 would think it is okay to do this who knows how many of his friends and family may think it is okay. Not trying to accuse any of them for anything just saying. A slap on the wrist was not enough for this guy.

Ugh! How grose! There's just no other way to describe it. Whether he was trying to be funny or not it's just totally inappropriate.

I guess I never gave any thought to what people will do with or to the characters to get a laugh. I can also see where the CMs in costume feel their hands are tied considering all the hoopla that was stirred up with the whole teen boy/Tigger video fiasco. I think it's worth Disney's penny to make sure there's plenty of handlers around to keep an eye out for these incidents. Hopefully these sickos are being tossed off the property for good.

I'd like to know more of the particulars about this- some of this doesn't add up. How would he know it's a even a female inside the costume? And would it even be possible to feel the through the costume? I would need to know more about this before deciding it was a personal attack or just someone being overly aggressive with the character, not thinking about what it's doing to the person inside.

So because this man did something, his friends and family are automatically plotting to do it as well?

There are a few photos in one of the links. To me, it's hard to tell what's going on in the photo where his hands are on her chest, but there's another one where he's basically full-on hugging her with his hands around her butt. The second photo looks worse than the first to me.

Fact or your view ?

In UK law - this is sexual assault and would receive a sentence in line with the gravity of the offence.

Sure - name and shame and his family will also suffer the embarrassment - but this pervert needs jail time

Another disturbing issue is that this true story will probably only get a little bit of publicity in the Orlando area, in Disney circles, and maybe in a few other outlets; meanwhile, the totally false accusations of a Disney character fondling a guest (remember the alleged Tigger incident which turned out to be hogwash) are trumpeted from the rooftops in virtually every outlet on the face of the earth.
