True, but I think not. The ride has been cycling (a lot according to one insider). And Disney Travel knows things after we do.

Are they doing tree planting this week? It's the only reason I can think of for having the backstage access point open during the day time.

I take this as a sign of good things. If they are closing the walkway I would guess that they are doing something pretty major to the mine ride, maybe the start of landscaping.

I assumed the same thing....I would be expecting to see trees (both real and fake) appearing on and around the hill, this week. You folks in Central Florida, keep those cameras handy so you can keep us updated.

This makes sense. If they were just moving large equipment out, they'd do it during nights. To close the path, that means there will be almost continuous use.

...not sure what equipment is still on site, but it seems that anything that was left there when the walkway was opened would eventually have to be de-mobed in at least one large closure of said walkway. Scissor lifts, Georgia buggies, mixers, crappers, generators, lights, etc., would be much easier moved off site during the day. OSHA stuff, you know. I hope they get rid if the crud and bring in the trees this week!!!!!!

It seems that the weird thing on that lift hill on the right side near the tea cups is actually a set piece topped with two vultures from the film! They could move too or just be static figures only time will tell, I wonder if they are just salvaged set pieces from the old ride!

That person was probably correct, it is a ride control panel, and they are putting stuff to hide it.

There appear to be a couple big lifts still on site in front of the mountain. These appear to be to big to get around the mountain to the exit path, so these would definitely have to be moved at night.

This makes me VERY happy to see, I always loved the vultures in the old ride and I wasn't sure if they would make it into the new ride!

It is a ride control panel. The vultures are operating the ride. They work even cheaper than kids from the college program
