Mindless Banter

Well, I was gonna let the beast rest...but...a piece of mindless banter about my childhood just popped into my head...and it's postworthy...

Ok, I was in either the 3rd or 4th grade and it was report card time. My grades were just fine but I had a teacher comment next to a few of my grades that stated: "Brian needs improvement on class participation"

Now...I bring the report card home...and dad and mom look at it...and sit me down for the "Son, you can do better" talk.

My dad, being the "stern" one in these cases says, "Brian, your grades are just fine but a lot of these say you need to work on your class precipitation. Come on, don't let your grades slip because of precipitation, that's so easy to do!"

My mom says, "That's not what it says"

Dad looks at it and says, "Ohhh, class PARTICIPATION...THAT'S EVEN EASIER TO DO!!!"

(yes dad...participating in class is easier than falling from the clouds)

(don't ya love how parents think they can pass one by on their younger kids...kinda like spelling bad words out  )

So that explains it - he's a product of his environment!

   HILARIOUS story, Brian!!!!

I used to get the same sort of comments on my report cards. I'm not as shy as I used to be, but I've really come out of my shell in the past few years.

Now a story of mine...
When I was in Kindergarten, I was running down the hall at my school and ran smack dab into a brick wall!! :brick: I had to get stitches and everything... right in the middle of my forehead! Im sure I've got a picture somewhere with a donald duck band-aid on my forehead! Really gives new meaning to the :brick: smilie!

Hey! THAT wasn't necessary!
This blue jell-o is mixing with my Freak bite ointment and creating some sort of weird paste.
And what on earth did I do to deserve being in Darrel's PANTS??!

Never mind...don't answer that.. PLEASE don't answer that.
:lookaroun Hi, Darrel *waves*

(was actually being serious (it happens occasionally) - but maybe that's why he's mad at me...sorry! )

That's funny! I was once reading a book and walking around the classroom (it was like inside recess that day). And BAM! :brick: Ran smack into the chalkboard!
